Kuydoreth

Humble Servant of All
Please pray for me that God give me the same thing I have felt in my former friend, ###, It is a certain quality, or something else entirely beyond my ability to describe or comprehend, that seems to cause the devil to flee simply by its presence. I do not know what it is or how to name it, but I ask God to grant me this very same thing and establish it as a permanent attribute of my being. so that the devil flees whenever he draws near. I pray that God Himself would bestow this upon me and make it an inseparable part of my being, according to His sovereign will. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

We join with you in this prayer and we understand the deep longing you have expressed, to carry within you that same presence you sensed in your former friend, that holy quality that causes the enemy to flee. What you are describing is precious and we believe God understands even what we cannot fully put into words, for His Spirit intercedes for us when we do not know how to pray as we ought.

The Scripture reveals to us what this quality is. It is not a vague mystical force or a transferable charm, but the presence and power of Christ Himself dwelling in us by the Holy Spirit, made evident through a life submitted to God in holiness, faith and obedience. The devil does not flee from a human attribute alone, he flees from Christ in us and from a believer who is submitted to God and stands in His authority. As it is written, Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. And again, You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4.

What you likely sensed in your friend was the fruit of abiding in Christ, perhaps His purity, His peace, His love, His bold faith, or the quiet power of a life cleansed and filled with the Holy Spirit. This is what we all are called to seek, not as a one time impartation that becomes automatic, but as a daily abiding in Him, walking in the light and putting on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11.

We must gently correct the idea that this can become an inseparable part of our being apart from continual fellowship with Christ. God does desire to transform us and to make us partakers of His divine nature, but this transformation comes through remaining in Him, through the Word, through prayer, through obedience and through being filled with the Spirit day by day. It is not that we possess a power of our own that repels the enemy, but that Christ possesses us. When we belong fully to Him, the enemy must flee because he cannot overcome the Lord who lives within us.

We also rejoice that you prayed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and have authority over the enemy. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5. And In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12.

So we pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We thank You that You know the cry of this heart even beyond words. We ask according to Your sovereign will that You would fill our dear fellow believer with Your Holy Spirit in fullness, that Christ would dwell richly in their heart through faith, and that You would establish them in holiness, in love, in power and in a sound mind. Grant to them that same presence of Christ that overcomes darkness, that whatever is of You would so shine in their life that the enemy must flee when he draws near. Make them strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Ephesians 6:10. Teach them to submit fully to You, to resist the devil in the faith, and to walk daily in Your Word and in prayer, abiding in Christ so that Your life becomes their life. We pray that You would conform them to the image of Your Son, bearing the fruit of the Spirit in all purity and truth, and that You would keep them steadfast to the end, for You are faithful who has called us. We ask this not for our own glory but that Jesus Christ may be magnified in this life, and that Your will be done. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord Himself more than any experience or feeling. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8. Dwell in His Word, remain in prayer, walk in obedience and in fellowship with other believers, and confess and forsake any sin that would give the enemy a foothold. As you abide in Christ, His presence will abide in you, and that power you long for will grow as you are transformed from glory to glory by His Spirit.

We have been holding your request before the Lord and we hear the deep longing in it. To have been near someone where you sensed such peace and strength that evil seemed to have no place is unforgettable, and it makes sense you would want that same settled reality in your own life.

What you describe in your friend was likely not a transferable quality or a momentary impartation, but the quiet evidence of a life abiding in Christ. When the Holy Spirit is at work over time, shaping love, peace, purity and truth in a person, there is a steadiness others can feel. That kind of fruit is grown rather than instantly given, formed as we stay close to Jesus and walk with Him day by day.

As we continue to pray for you, a steady next step is to keep seeking Christ Himself more than the effect you saw. Remaining rooted in prayer, in Scripture, and in fellowship with other believers gives the Spirit room to form Christlikeness in you in God's timing and way. If you have a trusted pastor, sharing this longing with him personally can also bring wise encouragement and prayer face to face.

Father, we lift this dear brother to You. You know his heart and his desire to walk closely with You and to know Your nearness and protection. Draw him nearer to Jesus, fill him afresh with Your Spirit, and form in him what is pleasing to You. Keep him in Your care, guard him from the enemy, and lead him step by step according to Your sovereign will. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father grant deliverance and peace to this requestor. Please Father God rebuke the evil enemy and cause it to flee from your divine presence. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your prayer has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you, asking that He who is sovereign and gracious would answer according to His perfect will in Christ Jesus.

You speak of a quality you perceived in another which seemed to make the enemy flee, and you desire that same power to be made a permanent part of your own being. Understand, this longing is right in its aim but must be rightly understood. There is no natural virtue hidden in any man that of itself can drive away the devil. The Scripture says, Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. It is not a mysterious attribute of our own that repels him, but Christ dwelling in us by His Spirit, and our walking in humble submission to God.

What you have seen in another, if it was truly of God, was not a thing to be transferred from one person to another as a charm, but the fruit of the Holy Spirit. That blessed Spirit condescends to make the narrow heart of man His palace, though it be but a cottage and unclean, and He there takes up His abode. He is the Author of all spiritual life, for until He visits us we are dead in trespasses and sins. He is the Spirit of holiness who alone can make a man holy, and every grace and every virtue we possess is His workmanship. He seals the believer as God's own possession and He glorifies Christ, not man, and not mere experience. Where Christ is exalted and the heart is made holy by the Spirit, there Satan cannot abide.

Therefore our prayer for you is not that you might receive an indefinable something apart from Christ, but that you might more fully receive and know the Holy Spirit whom Christ gives to all who believe.

We pray that the Lord would fill you with His Holy Spirit and keep Him ungrieved within you, for He is grieved by unbelief, by bitterness and wrath and all unholiness. We ask that He would teach you, sanctify you, and conform you to Christ, that you would walk in the Spirit and not fulfil the desires of the flesh. We pray that you would be taught to pray in the Holy Spirit and through the Holy Spirit, in His power and help, and that your faith would be a living faith that pines after holiness and pants after conformity to God. So shall you stand clothed in the righteousness of Christ, armed with the Word of God, and the evil one will flee, not because of any power in yourself, but because Christ is in you, the hope of glory, and greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

May the Lord grant you this sealing and sanctifying work according to His sovereign will, that you may live to the praise of His grace and to the glory of His Son. We ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only Saviour of sinners, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
