We join with you in this powerful declaration and we stand in agreement with you for complete victory in Jesus Christ over every work, scheme, and influence of the devil and Satan.

We thank God that your heart is turned to Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have authority and access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and delivered. Scripture makes this truth so clear when it says the Son of God was revealed for this purpose, that he might destroy the works of the devil 1 John 3:8. We also cling to the promise that having disarmed the rulers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it Col 2:15, and that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil Heb 2:14.

We understand your cry for Jesus to completely silence and halt every direct, indirect, or hidden influence of the enemy, and we affirm that in Christ we have been given authority. Jesus said, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy Luke 10:19. Yet we also remember that while the final and eternal judgment of Satan is certain, where the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur Rev 20:10, we are still in a time of spiritual battle. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Eph 6:12. That is why we are told to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Eph 6:11, and to submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that Jesus has already triumphed over Satan at the cross and through His resurrection. We ask now that You would manifest that victory fully in this life. We ask that You silence every lying voice and accusation of the enemy, that You halt and bring to nothing every plan, trap, and influence of the devil, whether seen or unseen, direct or indirect. We ask that You surround this dear one with Your protection, for You are faithful, who will establish and guard from the evil one 2 Thess 3:3. Fill this heart with Your peace, strengthen faith, and let Your Holy Spirit lead into all truth and freedom. We declare that no weapon that is formed against us will prosper, and that we are more than conquerors through him who loved us Rom 8:37. We put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word, and we rest in Christ alone. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ daily through prayer, through reading His Word, and through fellowship with other believers. Keep submitting yourself to God and actively resisting the enemy by speaking Scripture aloud, by turning from any opening to sin, and by walking in obedience. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Cor 10:4, and as you remain in Jesus, His victory remains yours.

The longing of your heart is a right and scriptural longing, for the Son of God was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil, and He has done it gloriously.

Be comforted to know that Jesus wins the victory, but He will not enjoy it alone, He will glorify His people with Himself. Because He has poured out His soul unto death, He must and shall win the victory. The Seed of the woman shall trample on the serpent, and as the result of Christ's death Satan's power is broken. He shall no longer go forth to rule among the nations as he once did. Not Sisera, but Satan has been overthrown, and we are ransomed from the galling yoke and walk at liberty through the power of the great Liberator, the Lord Jesus.

You feel the malice of the adversary, how he watches and considers the saints, how he marks where sin has been and sends a suggestion, how he shoots his fiery arrows and whispers that God has forsaken you. He goes about the camp like a sentinel, spying out every soul under his power, and he contends with vigor to keep his subjects. Yet his rage is a sign that his time is short, for he infers the brevity of his time from the victory which Jesus has already gained over him. When the Man Child was caught up unto God and to His throne, Satan was cast down, and Jesus saw him fall like lightning from heaven.

Therefore take good cheer from Christ's victory over the world. The arch enemy has been conquered by Man, by Christ Jesus our Head, and by God working in us we too shall bruise Satan under our feet shortly. Did the Head achieve the conquest, then the heart shares the honor, and every member of His mystical body, even the most uncomely, was virtually a conqueror in the conquering Head. We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

I join my prayer with yours before the throne of grace. O Lord our God, who hast found a ransom in the precious blood of Thy Son, we thank Thee that deliverance comes when the Lamb was slain, and that Thou bringest forth Thy people effectually out of the house of bondage. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that Thou wouldst make manifest His complete triumph in this dear soul. Put to an end the works of the evil one, silence his accusing mouth, halt his plans and devices, whether direct or indirect or by any connection or influence whatsoever. Let his fiery darts be quenched, his objections scattered, and his blinding power broken, that the saving light of Christ may shine clearly. Command Satan to depart, and give charge to Thine angels to minister and to keep in all Thy ways. Father, give power and victory for Jesus sake, that this tempted one may stand in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and may give boundless honors to Christ for His victory over every force of evil, forever and ever. Your prayer has been heard and we join our voices with yours before the Lord Jesus Christ.

We agree with you that Jesus Christ has triumphed over the evil one and we ask Him to make that victory manifest in your life, to bring to nothing every work of the devil and Satan, to silence every accusing mouth, and to halt every plan and every action whether direct or indirect or by any influence whatsoever. In the name of Jesus we ask for His protection to rest fully upon you.

Remember what has been taught concerning the Incarnation, that Christ came for two great purposes, deliverance from evil and supply of good. He has delivered us from the curse and has brought us into sonship, so that we have put on Christ and have received the Spirit of adoption. It is God who is the cause of all good things, and it is His blessing that sustains us. The Church is distinguished by His Spirit as the camp of His people was once marked by the cloud, and to remain within His fold is to remain under His care.

Scripture does not hide that Satan hinders. The apostle said that Satan hindered him, by violent temptations and plots formed against him. Yet we also know that God Himself governs all hindrances and permits nothing beyond what His grace can overrule. Satan could not spring upon Judas while he remained among the disciples, but only when he was separated and cast out. So we urge you to cling closely to Christ, to remain in fellowship with His people, to flee from every sin and to glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are His.

We pray now for you, that the Lord Jesus Christ who alone is our Savior would completely put an end to every work of the devil against you forever, that He would silence every voice of the adversary, that He would stop every scheme and every indirect influence, and that He would fill you with peace, strength and the assurance of His sonship. May He grant you to despise fear and to stand above danger, trusting not in your own wisdom but in the power that comes from Him.

Your prayer for Jesus to completely stop the works and plans of the enemy comes from a right understanding that the battle you feel is real and that only Christ can give the victory.

The Bible shows us that there is a spiritual warfare going on around us that we do not always see or understand. When Daniel prayed, the answer was hindered for twenty one days because the angelic messenger was opposed by spiritual powers over Persia until Michael came to help him. Much of what we experience as heaviness, confusion or pressure can be the flack from that larger battle between the Spirit of God and the enemy over the souls of people. The enemy wants to control the mind and soul, and that is where the battle is most often fought.

It helps to remember who Satan really is. He is not the opposite of God or equal to God in power. God alone is self existent and eternal. Satan is a created being who was perfect when he was created until iniquity was found in him, and he fell and became the adversary. His name means adversary. From the Garden of Eden where he came as the serpent to deceive Eve, to his accusations against Job as he went to and fro in the earth, to his work as the dragon and the devil who is called the old serpent, his character is the same. He is the accuser and the deceiver. One of his main tools is condemnation. When he condemns you the aim is to make you feel you should give up and to drive you away from Jesus and away from forgiveness and cleansing.

Jesus has already defeated him. Satan did not want Jesus to go to the cross and even offered Him a compromise to avoid it, because he knew the cross would be his defeat. Jesus refused the shortcut and went to the cross to redeem what had been forfeited and to purchase us back to God. In His resurrection He rose as the firstfruits from the dead and led captives free. Jesus Himself said He saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. The final place of judgment, Gehenna, was prepared not for people but for Satan and the angels who joined his rebellion. There will be a day when his work is ended forever, but until then God has allowed this present time to continue for a season.

For this spiritual warfare God has given us spiritual weapons, because carnal weapons will not help. The battle is largely in the mind where Satan whispers, has God said, does God see, does God know, and tries to deceive us into thinking we are getting by unseen. The way to stand is simple and biblical. Recognize that an attack is from the enemy, resist the devil in the name of Jesus and he will flee from you, and rejoice in your position of victory because Jesus has already won. Do not listen to condemnation that pushes you away from Christ. Let conviction draw you toward His pardon and cleansing.

I pray with you now that the Lord Jesus Christ will cover you with His protection and give you discernment and peace. May He silence every accusation against you, guard your mind from deception, and halt every direct or indirect influence of the enemy in your life according to His perfect will. May He teach you to recognize the attack, to resist it in His name, and to rejoice in the victory He secured for you at the cross and the empty tomb. And may you rest in the confidence that while the warfare continues for a little while, the final end of all evil is certain in Christ, who alone saves, and who will one day remove the adversary forever.
