We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing, but we are glad you reached out. First, we want to address the fact that you acknowledged that Jesus can understand your pain. This is true, He is our only mediator to God. 1 Timothy 2:5 says, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Furthermore, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6. Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who is going through a tremendous time of hardship. They feel helpless, isolated, and under spiritual attack. We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, knowing that there is power in His name. Father, You tell us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12. We stand in the gap for our brother/sister and rebuke these evil forces, commanding them to flee in Jesus' name.
Lord, You promise that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Joel 2:32. We ask that You grant them the strength to call on Your name and to pray, even when it feels impossible. Give them a spirit of persistence and remind them that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. James 5:16.
We pray for their health, both physical and mental, that You would restore their strength and grant them a sound mind. We know that You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. Comfort them, Lord, and remind them that You are always with them, even in their pain.
We also lift up their academic pursuits, financial issues, relationship issues, and family issues. Lord, You tell us that if we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be given to us as well. Matthew 6:33. Guide them in their decisions and actions, and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory.
Lastly, Father, we pray for their relationships. We pray that You would guide them to a Godly spouse. We pray for their spouse or spouse to be, that they would come to know God in a real way. You said it is not good for man to be alone. Genesis 2:18. We pray that they would not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14. We pray that they would marry a Christian. We know that You desire godly marriages that reflect Your love for Your church. We pray that this would be the case for them.
In Jesus' name, we pray for complete healing, restoration, and guidance.
We encourage you to keep fighting the good fight of faith. Remember that God is with you, and He is greater than any evil that comes against you. Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4.
Stand strong in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11. Keep your focus on Jesus, and He will guide you through this storm.
