Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to You interceding for this family and the trials and tribulations it is experiencing. I pray that they will stand together in prayer, seeking Your will(from Your WORD) in the midst of it all.
We are soldiers and we are on the "battle field" every second of the day. You have provided us with "full armour" in order to STAND against the schemes of our only enemy. You said "the just shall live by faith" "faith comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD of God! Every piece of the armour is composed of YOUR WORD, our weapons are spiritual. We are told to FIGHT the "Good Fight Of FAITH" Fight the "good, victorious" fight with the WORD that created all things.(Ephesians 6 & 1 Tim 6)
Father help this family of soldiers make it through this time of training. Training their minds, renewing their minds in YOUR powerful WORD! Reveal to them how to submit themselves completely to Your as living sacrifices (Rom. 12), help them to realize that what they are experiencing may be for the benefit of another after they have come through a testing of their faith (2 Corith 1). Help them to see themselves as "chosen" vessels for You to work through for Your glory, honor, purpose, pleasure and plan. Help them to question, "Is there anything I possess that I would not "give" to Jesus if He came and asked for it?"(1 Corinth. 4.7)
Then give them YOUR perspective on the various situations they are facing so they will come to the place where they indeed, "count it all joy...!" (James 1)
Father, we don't enjoy pain, suffering, or discomfort of any type; help us to think on the PRICE JESUS paid for us to be able to call You-FATHER.
As this family is brought in contact with others, who they otherwise would not have met, grant them the grace to be witnesses and share the "gospel," the good news of Jesus. If they are not at this place, then help them to use these circumstances as opportunties to learn of/KNOW YOU as You desire all of YOUR children to know You. We are totally dependent on You, Lord. Open the eyes of Your children to the truth-we were created for Your glory-to please YOU.
