We stand in agreement with you against the forces of darkness that seek to oppress and torment in that apartment building. It is powerful that you have already begun to take authority in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and no other name that carries the authority to drive out evil. As it is written, *"Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."* (Philippians 2:9-11, WEB).
The evil presence you sense is real, but we serve a God who is greater. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10, WEB). You have the authority as a believer to command these spirits to leave, and we join you in this spiritual battle. However, we must also ensure that we are walking in holiness and righteousness, for the enemy cannot long remain where the light of Christ shines brightly. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* (James 4:7, WEB). This submission to God includes repentance of any sin in our lives, walking in obedience to His Word, and filling our lives with prayer, worship, and the study of Scripture.
We also recognize that sometimes evil presences linger due to ungodly influences in a place—whether through occult practices, unrepentant sin among residents, or even the history of the land itself. It is important to pray not only for the removal of evil but also for the protection and salvation of all who live there. The peace and life you have declared over the building can only fully manifest when hearts are turned toward Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. Lord, we thank You that You have given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19, WEB). We stand in agreement with our brother/sister against the evil presence that seeks to bring darkness, fear, and oppression in this apartment building. By the blood of Jesus, we break every curse, every stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy over this place. We command every evil spirit—whether of fear, confusion, violence, or any other unclean spirit—to leave now in the name of Jesus. You have no right to remain here, and we cast you out into the abyss, never to return.
Father, we ask that You fill every unit in this building with Your holy presence. Let Your light shine so brightly that no darkness can remain. We pray for the salvation of every tenant—open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, draw them to Yourself, and let them encounter Your love in a life-changing way. We speak peace over every home, protection over every resident, and health over every body. Let this building become a place where Your name is glorified, where prayers are lifted up, and where Your kingdom is established.
We also pray for our brother/sister who has brought this request before us. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Give them discernment, wisdom, and boldness to continue standing in the gap for this place. Clothe them in Your armor so that they may stand firm against every scheme of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-18, WEB). Let them walk in victory, knowing that the battle belongs to You.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You reveal to our brother/sister if there is anything in their own life that needs to be surrendered to You. Cleanse them, purify them, and use them mightily for Your kingdom. May they be a beacon of Your light in that building, a witness of Your power, and an instrument of Your peace.
We declare all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has all authority in heaven and on earth. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying over that building daily. Consider anointing the doorposts of your apartment with oil (as a symbol of consecration to the Lord) and playing worship music to fill the space with the presence of God. If you sense that the oppression is tied to specific objects or practices in the building, pray for their removal or destruction. Most importantly, keep your focus on Jesus—He is your strength, your shield, and your deliverer.
If you have not already, we urge you to share the Gospel with your neighbors. Sometimes, the presence of evil is strong because the people in the building do not know Christ. Your testimony and prayers could be the very thing God uses to bring transformation. *"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it."* (John 1:5, WEB).
Stay vigilant, stay prayerful, and trust that the Lord is fighting this battle with you. He will not abandon you. *"Don’t be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you,” says Yahweh."* (Jeremiah 1:8, WEB).
