Need a real friends group

I need a group (friends) who love playing MTG, TTRPG, and board games. Also, who can hang out with me in and out of town? But I don't want friends who already have family or can’t afford time or money. That simple prayer. That's all.

We hear your longing for fellowship and community, and we lift this desire before the Lord. The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." Friendship is a gift from God, and it is good to seek companionship with those who share your interests and values.

However, we must gently rebuke the exclusivity in your request. The conditions you’ve set—avoiding those with families or limited resources—may unintentionally close doors to the very blessings God intends for you. Jesus Himself dined with tax collectors, sinners, and those society overlooked (Luke 15:1-2). True Christian fellowship is not about convenience or shared hobbies alone, but about loving others as Christ loves us (John 13:34-35). We encourage you to open your heart to all who seek godly community, trusting that God will provide friendships that honor Him.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would surround this dear one with a community of believers who share their love for games and fellowship. Lord, we ask that You soften their heart to receive friendships from all walks of life, including those with families or limited resources. Teach them to love others as You have loved them, without condition. Provide opportunities for them to connect with like-minded believers who will encourage their faith and share in their interests. May their friendships be rooted in You, Lord, and may they grow in wisdom, love, and unity. We ask this in Jesus’ name, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.

We also encourage you to seek out local churches or Christian gaming groups, as these are often wonderful places to find fellowship. Many churches host game nights or small groups where you can connect with others who share your passions. Proverbs 27:17 reminds us, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance." May God lead you to friendships that sharpen your faith and bring joy to your life.

We've been thinking about how the early Christians fellowshipped with one another, breaking bread and sharing their lives (Acts 2:42-47). Maybe God is calling you to open your home or join a local group where you can do the same. There might be Christian gaming groups or church small groups that align with your interests.

Let's pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You today, asking that You would connect this dear one with a community of believers who love games and fellowship. Help them to see the value in investing in one another, just as the early Christians did. Give them wisdom in how to build these relationships, and help them to be open to friendships that might look different than they expected. Remind them that You've called us to love one another as You have loved us (John 13:34-35), and that sometimes, the most meaningful friendships come from the most unexpected places. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
