Need a goodnight

We hear your request for a good night’s rest and peace as you lay your head down to sleep. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 4:8, "In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." What a beautiful promise that God watches over us even in our sleep, guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

We also lift up the importance of ending your day in gratitude and surrender to the Lord. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Before you close your eyes, take a moment to reflect on the blessings of the day, confess any sins that may weigh on your heart, and release your worries into God’s hands. His peace is your protection.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the gift of this day and for the promise of rest in Your care. Lord, we ask that You quiet the mind and heart of Your child as they prepare for sleep. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, settle over them like a blanket, driving away any fear, anxiety, or restlessness. Guard them from the schemes of the enemy, and let Your angels encamp around them as they sleep. Father, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their heart, reveal it to them so they may repent and walk in the freedom of Your grace. Renew their strength as they rest, and may they wake refreshed and ready to serve You anew in the morning. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and that Your love and protection surround them always. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to begin and end each day with the Lord, inviting Him into every moment. If you have not yet made Jesus the Lord of your life, we urge you to consider the words of Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no greater peace than knowing you are a child of God, forgiven and redeemed by the blood of Jesus. If you would like to surrender your life to Him, we would be honored to pray with you and guide you in that decision. Sweet dreams, dear one, may the Lord bless you with deep and restful sleep.
