We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up the leaders of our nations and the world. Father, we recognize that all authority comes from You, and we pray earnestly for wisdom to rest upon those in positions of power. "For there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God" (Romans 13:1). We ask that You grant them discernment to govern with justice, humility, and a heart for righteousness, that they may lead according to Your will and not their own ambitions.
Lord, we plead for the salvation of these leaders, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). We know that apart from Christ, there is no true wisdom or understanding, for "the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10). So we cry out for their souls, that they may turn to You, repent of sin, and walk in the light of Your truth. Without the name of Jesus, there is no access to the Father, no forgiveness of sins, and no eternal life. We must never forget that "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
We also stand in the gap for the protection of Your people, especially those in the "beautiful land" referenced in Daniel 11:41. Father, shield them from harm, oppression, and the schemes of the enemy. Raise up godly leaders among them who will stand firm on Your Word and lead with integrity. "Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain" (Psalm 127:1). We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we pray for the upcoming elections around the world. May Your will be done in every nation, and may the leaders chosen be those who fear You and seek to honor You in their decisions. "When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan" (Proverbs 29:2). We ask that You expose corruption, thwart the plans of the wicked, and establish righteousness in the land. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We rebuke the spirit of deception, division, and lawlessness that seeks to infiltrate governments and societies. We declare that "the king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever He desires" (Proverbs 21:1). We pray that You turn the hearts of leaders toward You, that they may govern with wisdom, compassion, and a desire to serve rather than be served.
Lord, we also lift up the people of these nations. May they seek You with all their hearts, turn from sin, and walk in the freedom that only Christ can provide. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14). We pray for revival, for a turning away from idolatry, immorality, and every form of wickedness. May Your church rise up in boldness to proclaim the gospel and make disciples of all nations.
We pray for the protection of the innocent, the unborn, the persecuted, and the oppressed. May Your justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24). We ask that You break the chains of bondage, set the captives free, and restore what the enemy has stolen. "The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to those who are bound" (Isaiah 61:1).
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect plan for the nations. May Your name be glorified in all the earth, and may Your people be a light in the darkness. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name alone that we have access to You and the power to stand against the schemes of the enemy. Amen.
