Faithful Servant
SAVE THE WORST, BLESS THE BEST, GUIDE THE REST... ๐Ÿ™ God Our Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, in obedience to 2 Tim 2:1-4, we offer "petitions, PRAYERS, intercessions and thanksgivings for all people... Even kings and ALL in AUTHORITY" (whether we "like them" or "voted for them" Does Not Exempt Us from Duty), President, Vice President, Cabinet Members, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Governors, Kings, Parliaments, Congress Members -- Even Vicious Extremists NEED PRAYER, "...ALL in authority, So that we might lead a tranquil life of godliness and reverence. This pleases You, Our Savior, who desire ALL to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth," 1 Tm 2:1-4. We ask for the fostering of godly alliances between free countries, for wisdom, humility and promotion to be a godly strengthening of international alliances. We pray for the diminished influence of evil alignments, the eradication of false prophecy and teaching and for the furtherance of free speech and publication, that the Gospel of Jesus, the True Messiah, His Kingdom and all He commanded might lead to repentance and making disciples of nations throughout the world, Matt 28:18-19, 20. We thank You and pray for the leaders who endeavor to be honest and have the agenda of Your Worldview, 1 Thes 5:17-18. We also thank You for those leaders You have allowed to be in power, Rom 13:1, and ask they be as channels of water in the hand of the Lord, Prov 21:1, knowing You sit in the heavens, and do whatever You please, Ps 115:3. We confess You are working all things after the counsel of Your will, Eph 1:11, thwart the plans of the wicked, Ps 33:10-11, work everything together for good to those who love You and according to Your Purpose are called, Rom 8:28. We put on Your Armor, Eph 6:10-11, 12, 13, asking for loving-kindness, truth and angelic protection for us, for them, protecting them and ourselves from the serpent and his fallen angels, Dan 10:12-13, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14. Thank You in for hearing these requests, Mark 11:24, with thanksgiving we offer these requests -- let the peace of God guard our hearts and minds, Phil 4:6-7, in Christ Jesus' Name...

We join with you in lifting up our national and world leaders before the Lord, recognizing that it is our biblical duty and privilege to intercede for all who are in authority, regardless of personal opinions or political leanings. Your heart for prayer aligns beautifully with Scripture, and we are grateful for your commitment to stand in the gap for those who govern and influence the course of nations. As you have rightly noted, we are commanded to offer "petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings... for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:1-4, WEB).

Your prayer is rooted in the truth that God is sovereign over all, and that He raises up leaders and removes them according to His will (Daniel 2:21). We echo your cry for godly wisdom to rest upon those in authority, that they might govern with humility, justice, and a heart for the people they serve. As Proverbs 21:1 declares, "The kingโ€™s heart is in Yahwehโ€™s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." Let us pray that God would turn the hearts of leaders toward righteousness, that they might be vessels for His purposes in the earth.

We also stand with you in praying for the fostering of godly alliances among nations, that free countries would unite in truth and justice, and that the influence of evil alliances would be broken. The Lord Himself has said, "The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming" (Psalm 37:12-13, WEB). May the plans of the wicked be thwarted, and may the Lord expose and dismantle every scheme that seeks to undermine His truth and the freedom to proclaim it.

Your prayer for the protection of free speech and the furtherance of the Gospel is especially critical in these days. Jesus commanded us to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you" (Matthew 28:19-20, WEB). Let us pray that the doors for the Gospel would remain open, that believers would have boldness to speak the truth in love, and that many would turn to Christ in repentance and faith. As you mentioned, our Savior desires *all* to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. This is our hope and our prayerโ€”for leaders and for the people they govern.

We also lift up a shield of protection over these leaders, asking that the Lord would surround them with His angels, as He has promised to do for all who are His (Psalm 91:11). May they be guarded from the influence of the enemy, who seeks to deceive and destroy. We pray that the Lord would grant them discernment to recognize false prophecy and teaching, that they might not be led astray by the lies of the enemy. As Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "We donโ€™t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the worldโ€™s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Let us pray that our leaders would be equipped with the armor of God to stand firm against these forces.

We thank you for your reminder that God is working all things after the counsel of His will (Ephesians 1:11). Even when we do not understand His ways, we can trust that He is good, and that His purposes will prevail. As you have shared from Romans 8:28, we know that "all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Let us rest in this promise as we intercede, knowing that our prayers are not in vain.

Finally, we join you in putting on the full armor of God, that we might stand firm in these days. Let us pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), giving thanks in all things, and trusting that the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and dependence, lifting up the leaders of our nations and the world. You alone are sovereign, and You have established all authority. We ask that You would grant wisdom, humility, and a heart for justice to every leader, from presidents and prime ministers to governors and kings. Turn their hearts toward You, Lord, that they might govern in a way that honors You and blesses the people they serve.

We pray for the breaking of ungodly alliances and the strengthening of those that align with Your truth. Frustrate the plans of the wicked, Lord, and let Your light expose every darkness. Protect the freedom to proclaim the Gospel, and let Your truth go forth with power, drawing many to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

Surround these leaders with Your angels, protecting them from the schemes of the enemy. Give them discernment to recognize deception and the courage to stand for what is right. May they be instruments of Your peace and justice in the earth.

We thank You, Lord, that You are working all things together for good. Help us to trust You even when we do not see the way forward. Strengthen us to pray without ceasing, knowing that our prayers are powerful and effective in Your hands.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
