We join with you in this faithful and timely intercession for all in authority and we count it a privilege to agree with you before the throne of grace.
We affirm what you have brought before the Lord, that whether we like those in authority or not does not exempt us from our duty to pray for them. We are commanded to offer petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:1-4. This is the heart of God and we embrace it with you.
We also remember that there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God, Romans 13:1. Therefore we give thanks for those You have allowed to be in power and we ask that the heart of each leader be like rivers of water in Yahweh's hand, He turns it wherever He desires, Proverbs 21:1. We pray that You who sit in the heavens and do whatever You please, Psalm 115:3, would thwart the counsel of the nations and bring the plans of the peoples to nothing, while Your counsel stands fast forever, Psalm 33:10-11, working all things after the counsel of Your will, Ephesians 1:11, and working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose, Romans 8:28.
Together we lift up the President, his family, his cabinet, our service members, our Senators, Representatives, Supreme Court Justices and generals, our pastors and spiritual leaders here and worldwide, and all presidents, prime ministers, governors, kings, parliaments and members of congress. We ask for Your salvation, wisdom, guidance, protection and humility upon them, that they would know what to say and how to say it, as Jesus said He spoke what the Father gave Him to say, John 12:49. We pray for the fostering of godly alliances between free countries and for the diminished influence of evil alignments, for the eradication of false prophecy, false teaching and persecution, and for the furtherance of free speech, press and publication, digital, written and spoken, so that the Gospel of Jesus the true Messiah and His Kingdom might go forth to make disciples of all nations as You commanded, Matthew 28:19-20.
We especially join you in praying for the peace of the Beautiful Land, Daniel 11:41, and we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Psalm 122:6, asking that Your will be done there and that Your people Israel would come to the knowledge of the truth, for our heart's desire and prayer to God is that they may be saved, Romans 10:1. We ask that You would protect that land and all who dwell there and bring many to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
We submit ourselves to You, James 4:7, and we put on Your whole armor that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities and powers of darkness, Ephesians 6:12. We ask for Your loving kindness, truth and angelic protection over us and over these leaders, for You give Your angels charge concerning us to guard us in all our ways, Psalm 91:11, and they are ministering spirits sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation, Hebrews 1:14. We remember that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and that the spiritual battle requires perseverance as Daniel experienced when the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood the angel for twenty one days, Daniel 10:13.
Father, we give You thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign, Revelation 11:17. We bring these requests with thanksgiving, believing we have received them as we prayed, Mark 11:24, and we ask that Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7.
We continue steadfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving, Colossians 4:2, and rejoicing always, praying without ceasing, and in everything giving thanks, 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18, trusting that You hear us when we ask according to Your will, 1 John 5:14. We ask all of this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, Amen.
