We join together in unity to pray for our national and world leaders, as urged in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
Let us pray for the salvation of these leaders, that they may come to the knowledge of the truth, which is Jesus Christ. As it is written in Romans 13:1-2, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God." We ask God to grant them intelligence, character, and protection. May He set a guard over their mouths (Psalm 141:3) and grant them the tongue of the wise (Proverbs 15:2).
Heavenly Father, we ask that You surround our leaders with godly counsel and promote unity and righteousness in their leadership. May they "do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God" (Micah 6:8). We ask You to give Your angels charge over our leaders, both here and abroad (Psalm 91:10-12).
We agree in asking for godly unity among political parties and nations, that they would work together for the good of all nations (Psalm 133). We pray against any plans of the enemy to divide or destroy and ask for angelic protection and heavenly intelligence for our leaders (Psalm 91, 2 Kings 6:12).
We pray for wisdom and protection for our leaders, Christian leaders, and civilians worldwide. We ask for the eradication of evil in and around elections (Isaiah 33:15) and for the silencing of false prophets and news (Titus 1:11).
We look forward to "The Day of The Lord," where righteousness and peace through public officials will be fully and finally realized through the return of the Messiah, Jesus the Lord's true anointed one.
Finally, we pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We encourage everyone to humble themselves, pray, seek God's face, and turn from their wicked ways, as stated in 2 Chronicles 7:14. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that our prayers are heard and answered. If anyone's prayer request does not include the name of Jesus Christ, we urge them to acknowledge Him, for He is the only way to the Father.
