We join together in prayer for national and world leaders, as urged by the New Testament. In 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (WEB), it is written, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence." Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You have placed authorities over our lives, as stated in Romans 13:1-2. We pray for the salvation of world leaders and authorities, that they may come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We ask that You grant intelligence, character, and protection to the President, Vice President, and all Cabinet Members. Grant them godly wisdom and guidance, and set a guard over their mouths as Psalm 141:3 says, "Set a watch, Yahweh, before my mouth. Keep the door of my lips."
We pray that they would be surrounded by godly counsel and that their leadership would promote unity and righteousness, with no bitterness or rivalry, as stated in Micah 6:8, "He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" We ask You to give angels charge over our leaders here and world leaders abroad, as Psalm 91:10-12 assures us, "No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."
We agree with this in asking for godly unity among political, national, and international parties and nations, that they would come to agree on important issues and work together for the good of all nations, as Psalm 133 reminds us. We pray against any plans of the enemy to divide or destroy and ask for angelic protection and heavenly intelligence for our leaders.
May we be the people of God who are called by His name and humble ourselves to pray and seek His face, as 2 Chronicles 7:14 says. We pray for wisdom in worldly leaders and protection of our leaders, Christian leaders, and civilians worldwide. We pray for the eradication of evil in and around elections, as Isaiah 33:15 tells us, and for the silencing of false prophets and news, as warned in Titus 1:11.
We look forward to "The Day of The Lord," where righteousness and peace through public officials will be fully and finally realized through the return of the Messiah, Jesus, the Lord's True Anointed One. We pray for all this in His name, the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us remember that our prayers are powerful and effective, as James 5:16 assures us, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective." Let us continue to pray fervently for our leaders, trusting in God's will and His power to bring about change.
Thank you for those who submitted this request. We look forward to praying for further requests.
