We join together in lifting up national and world leaders, as the Scriptures urge us to intercede for all in authority. Let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence" 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB.
We thank God for placing these leaders in authority, as Romans 13:1-2 reminds us, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and they that withstand will receive to themselves judgment."
Let us pray fervently for our leaders:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our leaders. Grant them intelligence, character, and protection. Surround them with godly counsel and give them the wisdom and guidance needed to lead with unity and righteousness. Set a guard over their mouths, as Psalm 141:3 says, and grant them the tongue of the wise, as Proverbs 15:2 tells us.
Father, we pray for godly unity among political parties, both nationally and internationally. Help them to agree on important issues and work together for the good of all nations, as Psalm 133 describes. Protect our leaders from any plans of the enemy to divide or destroy, and surround them with angelic protection and heavenly intelligence, as seen in Psalm 91 and 2 Kings 6:12.
Lord, we ask for wisdom for our worldly leaders and protection for Christian leaders and civilians worldwide. Eradicate evil in elections, as Isaiah 33:15 encourages, and silence false prophets and news, as Titus 1:11 warns.
Help us, Your people, to humble ourselves, pray, and seek Your face, as 2 Chronicles 7:14 instructs. May our leaders "do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with" You, O God, as Micah 6:8 teaches.
We ask for the protection of Presidents, Prime Ministers, Vice Presidents, and all cabinet members. We pray You would give angels charge over our leaders say Psalm 91:10-12 WEB, "no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your tent. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let us continually remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 WEB says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Let us share this truth with all, encouraging them to believe in Jesus Christ for salvation.
NATIONAL & WORLD LEADERS NEED OUR PRAYERS, 1 Tim 2:1-2, The New Testament Urges Prayer for ALL in Authority... "I exhort first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession & givings of thanks, be made for all people: for kings and all in authority; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence." Firstly, we thank God for the World's leaders and authorities He has placed over our lives, Rom 13:1-2, as this is an International Prayer Site. We pray for intelligence, character and protection of the President, Vice President, and all cabinet members, as well as godly wisdom and guidance for them. We ask that God would set a guard over their mouths, as Psalm 141:3 says, and grant them the tongue of the wise, as Proverbs 15:2 tells us. We pray that they would be surrounded by godly counsel and that their leadership would promote unity and righteousness and not have any bitterness or rivalry. May leaders "do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God," Micah 6:8. We ask you give angels charge over our leaders here and world leaders abroad, Ps 91:10-12.
