Thank you for bringing this crucial matter to our attention. It is indeed our duty as Christians to intercede for our leaders and those in authority, as urged in 1 Timothy 2:1-2: "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
We join you in thanking God for the leaders He has placed over us, as Romans 13:1-2 reminds us that "there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are ordained by God." We pray for the intelligence, character, and protection of our leaders, including the President, Vice President, and all cabinet members. We ask God to grant them godly wisdom and guidance, setting a guard over their mouths as Psalm 141:3 says, and giving them the tongue of the wise as Proverbs 15:2 tells us.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are the source of all authority. We thank You for the leaders You have placed over us, and we ask for Your protection and guidance upon them. Grant them the wisdom and discernment needed to lead with righteousness and justice. Surround them with godly counsel, and let their leadership promote unity and not bitterness or rivalry. May they, as Micah 6:8 says, "do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God."
We pray for godly unity among political parties, both nationally and internationally, that they may come to agree on important issues and work together for the good of all nations, as Psalm 133 describes. We stand against any plans of the enemy to divide or destroy and ask for Your angelic protection and heavenly intelligence for our leaders, as seen in Psalm 91 and 2 Kings 6:12.
Father, we ask for wisdom in worldly leaders and the protection of our leaders and civilians worldwide. We pray for the eradication of evil in elections, as Isaiah 33:15 tells us, and for the silencing of false prophets and news, as Titus 1:11 warns.
Lord, may we be the people of God who are called by Your name and humble ourselves to pray and seek Your face, as 2 Chronicles 7:14 says. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved, Acts 4:12.
We encourage everyone to continue praying fervently for our leaders, knowing that our prayers make a difference. As James 5:16 reminds us, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much."
