We lift our hearts together in fervent prayer for our national, world, church, and civic leaders, standing on the truth of 1 Timothy 2:1-4, which urges us to make "supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings... for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, acknowledging that it is only through the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that all leaders, whether in government or the church, would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for it is in Him alone that true wisdom, salvation, and peace are found.
We intercede for the President, his family, cabinet members, service members, senators, representatives, SCOTUS justices, generals, pastors, and all spiritual leaders worldwide. We ask that You grant them wisdom, discernment, and humility as they lead. May they seek Your face in all decisions, aligning their hearts with Your will. We pray that You would raise up godly leaders who fear You and walk in Your ways, for "when the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan" (Proverbs 29:2). We also ask that You would remove leaders who persist in ungodliness and rebellion against You, for Your Word declares, "The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He frustrates the plans of the peoples" (Psalm 33:10).
Father, we pray for the fostering of godly alliances between free countries, that they may stand together in truth and righteousness. Grant our leaders the wisdom to know what to say and how to say it, as Jesus spoke only what the Father commanded Him (John 12:49). We ask that You would diminish the influence of evil alignments and eradicate false teachings and persecutions that seek to silence the Gospel. May the truth of Your Word go forth unhindered, leading many to repentance and discipleship, as commanded in Matthew 28:18-20.
We thank You for the leaders You have placed in authority, as Your Word instructs us, "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God" (Romans 13:1). We pray that these leaders would be like channels of water in Your hand, directed by Your sovereign will (Proverbs 21:1). We confess that You are working all things according to the counsel of Your will (Ephesians 1:11), and we trust that You will thwart the plans of the wicked (Psalm 33:10-11). May all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we submit ourselves to You and to the authorities You have established, resisting the devil so that he may flee from us (James 4:7). We put on the full armor of God, that we may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-20). We ask for Your loving-kindness, truth, and angelic protection over us and our leaders, shielding us from the evil one and his fallen angels (Psalm 91:10-11; Hebrews 1:14). Thank You that Christ, who is in us, is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We pray for the beautiful land described in Daniel 11:41 and for the peace of its people worldwide (Psalm 122:6). Save the lost, bless the righteous, and guide all according to Your perfect will. We declare that the Lord God Omnipotent reigns (Revelation 19:6), and we give You thanks, for You have taken Your great power and begun to reign (Revelation 11:17).
Father, we ask that You would guard the hearts and minds of Your people with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). May we continue to pray without ceasing, giving thanks in all circumstances, for this is Your will for us in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18). We offer these prayers in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.
