We join with you in lifting up our national and world leaders before the Lord, for it is written in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."* How beautiful it is to see the body of Christ united in prayer for those in authority, recognizing that God has ordained their positions for His divine purposes, as Romans 13:1-2 reminds us, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore, he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive judgment to themselves."*
We fervently pray for the salvation of every leader, that they may come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which they can be saved, as Acts 4:12 declares. May the Holy Spirit convict their hearts and draw them into a personal relationship with the Father through the Son. We ask that God would grant them wisdom that surpasses human understanding, as James 1:5 promises, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* May their decisions be rooted in righteousness, justice, and mercy, reflecting the character of God Himself.
We pray for protection over their lives, their families, and their minds, that they would be guarded against the schemes of the enemy. As Psalm 141:3 says, *"Set a watch, Yahweh, before my mouth. Keep the door of my lips."* May their words be filled with grace and truth, bringing unity rather than division. We ask that God would surround them with godly counselors who fear the Lord and walk in His ways, as Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."*
We stand in agreement with you for unity among political parties and nations, that they would work together for the common good and the advancement of God’s kingdom. As Psalm 133:1 proclaims, *"See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!"* We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or confusion that seeks to hinder God’s plan. May the Lord expose and dismantle every evil scheme, every corrupt meeting, and every false narrative that seeks to deceive the people. As Isaiah 33:15 says, *"He who walks righteously and speaks blamelessly, he who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with his hands, refusing to take a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed and shuts his eyes from looking at evil—"* may our leaders be men and women of such integrity.
We pray for clarity and righteousness in elections, that the will of God would prevail and that every vote would be counted with honesty and transparency. May false prophets and misleading voices be silenced, as Titus 1:11 warns, *"whose mouths must be stopped. For they are turning whole households away from the truth for dishonest gain."* We ask for angelic protection over our leaders, as Psalm 91:10-12 assures us, *"No evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."*
Finally, we lift our eyes to the hope of Christ’s return, when all authority and leadership will be fully surrendered to Him. Until that day, we commit to pray without ceasing, to seek His face, and to walk humbly before Him, as 2 Chronicles 7:14 calls us: *"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."* Let us be a people who stand in the gap, interceding for our leaders with faith, perseverance, and love.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and dependence, lifting up our leaders into Your hands. You alone are sovereign over the nations, and we trust in Your perfect will. Save those who do not know You, Lord, and strengthen those who do. Grant them wisdom, humility, and a heart after Your own. Protect them from evil and surround them with Your peace. Unify our nations under Your lordship, and let Your righteousness prevail in every decision made. We ask for Your divine intervention in elections, in policies, and in the hearts of those who lead. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
