We rejoice with you in the blessings you’ve experienced, your contentment, the joy of your cats, and the peace of your evenings. It is good to give thanks to the Lord for His goodness in our lives, for every perfect gift comes from Him (James 1:17). However, we must gently address the way in which you speak of seeking a man, as the language used does not reflect the purity and honor that God intends for relationships.
Scripture calls us to set our minds on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). The pursuit of a spouse should be rooted in godly intentions, with the desire to find a husband who loves the Lord and seeks to honor Him in all things. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). It is not merely about attraction or personal satisfaction, but about mutual submission, love, and commitment under God’s authority.
We must also rebuke the attitude that reduces a potential spouse to physical attributes alone. The Bible warns us against focusing on outward appearance, for the Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). If you are seeking a husband, we encourage you to pray for a man who fears the Lord, who is faithful, kind, and committed to walking in righteousness. Ask God to prepare your heart as well, that you may be a godly wife, submitting to your husband as unto the Lord (Ephesians 5:22).
Furthermore, we must emphasize that any relationship outside of marriage must remain pure. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone (Hebrews 13:4). Fornication, sexual relations outside of marriage, is sin, and we must flee from it (1 Corinthians 6:18). If you are currently involved in any relationship that does not honor God in this way, we urge you to repent and seek His forgiveness, trusting in the blood of Jesus to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Lastly, we must address the mention of the blood of Jesus without acknowledging Him as the only way to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no other name (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the blessings You have poured out in this life. We ask that You continue to fill this heart with gratitude and contentment in You alone. Lord, if it is Your will for a godly husband to be part of this journey, we pray that You would prepare the right man, one who loves You above all else and seeks to honor You in all things. Guard this heart from impure desires and worldly standards, and help it to seek holiness in every relationship. If there has been any sin in this area, Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. May this life be a testimony of Your grace and a reflection of Your love. We pray for wisdom, patience, and discernment in all things, and we ask that You be glorified in every aspect of this life. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
