Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing you and your daughter before the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.
We hear your deep love as a mother and your desire to protect your child, to be a vessel of His grace, and to walk in His will. It is right to seek His presence in every room you enter and in every conversation, and to ask for wisdom for each step. God is faithful to hear those who call upon Him in truth.
In this season of fear, with the strain of dealing with your former husband and with those who have authority over your daughter's case, remember that the Lord sees all and will judge with perfect justice. When others speak evil or slander, even if what they say seems to have weight with people, God is the one who will require an account. As Scripture teaches, we will be judged for our own words, and those who speak falsehood add to their own condemnation while God remains the defender of the innocent. Therefore do not return evil for evil. Practice longsuffering, which is a great strength. The one who is patient is above the reach of darts, and shows abundant wisdom. Leave vengeance and vindication to the Lord, and keep your own lips from speaking evil, even when you have been wronged.
We pray that the truth will be made clear in every document and in every meeting, including with those handling your daughter's case. Ask God to help you speak with honesty, clarity and calmness, and to give you favor as you act with integrity. Cooperate fully with what is right and true, trusting that God can reveal what is hidden and bring lies and manipulation into the light in His time.
For your daughter, the greatest protection you can give, beyond any legal shelter, is to raise her in the fear of God from her earliest years. When the fear of God is planted within, He Himself becomes a wall that cannot be broken and a guard seated within the heart. This is better than any outward protection a father or any other person can provide. Continue to show her daily how much you love her, as you have prayed, and point her to the love of Christ which surpasses your own. Pray that she will come to know Jesus as her Savior, for there is no other name by which we are saved.
We also hear your prayer for the future and for a husband. We pray that if it is the Lord's will, He will in His perfect timing bring a faithful man who loves Christ and who will enter with you into the holy covenant of marriage as God designed it, a lifelong union of one man and one woman, and that any such relationship would be kept pure and honoring to God within that covenant alone.
We pray now for you:
Lord Jesus Christ, look with mercy upon this mother and her daughter. Cover them with Your presence, keep them from harm, and guard their hearts and minds from fear. Give this mother wisdom to make right decisions, strength to continue in her studies, and grace to be the mother You have called her to be. Let no false word stand, but let truth prevail. Soften hard hearts, bring repentance where there is wrongdoing, and turn what was meant for evil into good for those who love You. Help her to forgive as she has been forgiven, to bless those who oppose her, and to trust not in her own understanding but in Yours. Keep her daughter safe in body and soul, let her feel Your love and her mother's love each day, and draw her to Yourself for salvation. Lead this family step by step according to Your perfect will. In the name of Jesus our only hope, Amen.
Continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, walk in obedience, and surround yourself with faithful believers who can counsel and support you.
