Beloved of All
Your prayer for your daughter comes from a mother's deep love, and I join you in lifting her and her unborn child before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ.
We see in the Gospels how a mother's faith for her daughter moved the Lord. When the woman cried out for her daughter who was suffering, Christ honored her persistent faith and healed her child, showing that a mother's intercession is not spoken at random but has great power before God. In the same way, your faithful prayer for your daughter is heard. Christ also speaks to those who are fearful and weary with words like, be of good cheer, your faith has made you whole, calling them daughter because their trust has made them His own. He sees your daughter now in her exhaustion and weakness.
Pregnancy is a time of particular vulnerability. The Lord knows the burden she carries, how hard it is to be weighed down and unable to find rest or strength when even food and water will not stay down. He has compassion for her in this trial and He is the one who has power to heal and to restore.
We remember too that God often works through the hands of physicians and those who care for the body. As remedies are applied and wisdom is sought, God can use those means to bring healing, and we pray that He will do so here.
Let us pray together. Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, we ask for Your mercy and healing upon this daughter and her child. Please ease her nausea, allow her to keep down food and water, and restore her strength, energy and joy in this pregnancy. Guide her midwife and all her medical professionals with wisdom to find the right solution to bring hydration and nutrition to her and to her baby, whether through parenteral nutrition or other means that You provide. Protect the health and growth of the baby, and keep this mother safe. We ask also that You would guard her heart and mind in the months ahead and protect her from postpartum depression once the child is born, surrounding her with peace, support and joy. Restore her and sustain her by Your grace throughout this pregnancy and beyond. We ask this trusting in Your goodness and power to heal. In Jesus name, Amen.
Continue to bring her before the Lord daily, trusting His compassion and asking Him to work both directly and through the care of her medical team.
