My ###

We rejoice with you that your daughter is home, and we praise the Lord for His faithfulness in answering prayer! It is beautiful to see you seeking Jesus’ help in being the mother your daughter needs—this is a heart that honors God. The Scriptures remind us of the high calling of parenthood, especially for mothers who nurture, teach, and model Christlikeness. Proverbs 22:6 says, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."* Ephesians 6:4 also instructs, *"You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."* While this verse speaks to fathers, the principle applies to all parents—we are to raise our children with love, patience, and godly wisdom, not exasperation or harshness.

Yet we also know that parenting is not about perfection but about dependence on Christ. You will make mistakes, but His grace covers you. When you fall short, humbly ask for forgiveness—both from the Lord and your daughter—and trust that He is working in her heart through your imperfect but sincere love. Colossians 3:21 warns, *"Fathers, don’t provoke your children, so that they won’t be discouraged."* Let your home be a place where your daughter feels cherished, heard, and pointed to Jesus, not a place of unnecessary frustration or unrealistic expectations.

We also encourage you to prioritize your own walk with the Lord, for you cannot pour into her what you do not first receive from Him. Spend time in His Word, pray fervently, and let the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—flow through you (Galatians 5:22-23). When you are weak, His strength is perfected (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lean on Him daily, for apart from Christ, we can do nothing of eternal value (John 15:5).

Now let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift this precious mother before Your throne, thanking You for the gift of her daughter and the privilege of raising her for Your glory. Lord, equip her with Your wisdom, patience, and unconditional love. Help her to reflect Your heart in every interaction—whether in discipline, encouragement, or simply listening. Guard her against weariness, frustration, or the temptation to rely on her own strength. Fill her with Your Spirit so that her words and actions build up her daughter in faith, hope, and love.

Break any generational strongholds or patterns in their family that do not align with Your Word. Let their home be a sanctuary where Your peace reigns and Your truth is lived out. Give this mother discernment to know when to speak, when to listen, and when to simply pray. May her daughter see Jesus in her and be drawn to a saving relationship with Him if she has not already surrendered her life to Christ.

We rebuke any fear, guilt, or condemnation the enemy may try to place on this mother. You have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Remind her that her worth is found in You, not in her performance as a parent. When she stumbles, let her run to You for grace, and when she succeeds, let her give You all the glory.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would knit their hearts together in a bond that honors You. May their relationship be a testament to Your redeeming love. We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
