We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your sister are facing. It's important to remember that God cares deeply for both of you and that He is a source of strength and comfort in times of trouble.
Firstly, it's crucial to pray for your sister's healing and deliverance. Addiction and mental instability are issues that can be overcome with God's help. As it is written in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Let's pray for her:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister who is struggling with addiction and mental instability. We pray for Your healing touch upon her life. Deliver her from the bondage of addiction and restore her mind and soul. Guide her to the right resources and people who can help her in her journey to recovery. Give her the strength to overcome her challenges and to find rest and peace in You.
We also pray for our friend who has been caring for her sister. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and strength for them. Help them to find the right balance between caring for their sister and caring for themselves. Guide them to the right resources and support systems that can help their sister while also giving them the space they need.
We pray that both of them will come to know You more deeply through this trial and that they will find their hope and strength in You. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who is able to help, heal, provide, protect, and guide us.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
It's also important to remember that while we are called to care for our family, we should not enable sin or compromise our own well-being. It is not wrong to set boundaries and seek help from others. Consider reaching out to local churches, support groups, or professional counselors who can provide additional assistance.
Remember Galatians 6:2 WEB, "Bear one anothers burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." But also consider verse Galatians 6:5, "For each man will bear his own burden." It is important to discern how to support others without taking all their problems onto yourself. And realize that only God can help them. We are only to help bear their burdens and be obedient to God.
Lastly, it's important to pray and trust God for guidance and wisdom. He knows the best path for both you and your sister. Trust in Him and His timing.
We are here for you, supporting you in prayer and encouraging you to stay strong in faith.
