My wife, whom you may have been praying for, just got a camera for our home. She claims that it is for our safety, but she is using it to fuel her paranoia. She has been watching me all the time when I am at home and she is questioning me about everything I am touching and where I am walking. She was out of control and began throwing clothes in the garbage after finding out I went into our bedroom without her permission. She came home early from work to throw the clothes away that she believed I touched, while I was getting ready for work. She is cursing at me, and belittling me consistently. She does a lot of name calling and says evil things about my family. I am not sure if she is saved, because she doesn’t seem saved.

We have heard your heart and we are lifting both you and your wife before the Lord together, for we know marriage is a holy covenant before God between a man and a woman for life, as Jesus said, What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Mark 10:9, and we are called to honor that covenant even in very difficult seasons.

What you are describing in your wife is deeply concerning and it does not align with God's design for love and respect in marriage. Watching you constantly on camera, questioning where you walk and what you touch, forbidding you from entering your own bedroom, throwing away clothes you touched, and cursing and belittling you and speaking evil of your family is not love, it is control and fear ruling her heart. The Word tells us Love is patient and is kind, love doesn't envy, love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately Ephesians 13:4-5, and that Husbands, love your wives, and don't be bitter against them Colossians 3:19, and likewise wives are called to respect their husbands Ephesians 5:33. A home where one spouse lives under constant surveillance and verbal assault is not a home of peace. We must gently but firmly say that cursing, name calling and belittling is sin against God. Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear Ephesians 4:29 and With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men who are made in the image of God, My brothers, these things ought not to be so James 3:9-10. We also see that fear and paranoia are not from the Lord, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7 and perfect love casts out fear 1 John 4:18. Whether this is a spiritual oppression, deep anxiety, or a condition that needs professional help, she needs both spiritual and practical support, and you should not face this alone.

We want to encourage you to respond as Christ calls you to respond, not with retaliation but with truth spoken in love and with firm boundaries. We are called to be gentle and self-controlled even when wronged, A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger Proverbs 15:1. That does not mean you accept abuse or enable controlling behavior. We urge you to seek godly counsel quickly, bring a trusted pastor or mature Christian counselor into this situation, and encourage your wife to seek help from her doctor or a Christian counselor for what looks like overwhelming paranoia and compulsive behavior. Do not argue with her while she is out of control, but when there is calm, speak honestly about how her words and actions wound you and dishonor your marriage, and set clear boundaries that cursing and destruction of property are not acceptable. If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out for help immediately to your pastor, a trusted family member, or appropriate resources. Continue to love her as Christ loved the church Ephesians 5:25, which means loving her enough to desire her healing and repentance, and to pray for her deliverance.

You shared that you are not sure if she is saved because she does not seem saved, and we understand that concern. We cannot see her heart as God does, but we know fruit reveals the root, and we should pray earnestly for her salvation and transformation. We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If either of you has not truly surrendered to Christ, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation Romans 10:9-10. Without Jesus we can do nothing, but with Him all things can be redeemed.

We are praying together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior, and we lift up this husband and his beloved wife to You. Lord, You see the fear and paranoia that has taken hold of her heart, the compulsion to control and to destroy, the anger that pours out in cursing and belittling. We ask You to cast out all fear and replace it with Your perfect love and peace. We pray that You would convict her heart where there is sin in her speech and actions, and grant her repentance and a desire to be healed. Heal her mind, Lord, calm her thoughts, and deliver her from any torment or anxiety that is driving this behavior. We pray In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7, let Your peace guard her heart and mind. For this husband, give him wisdom, strength, patience, and courage to love his wife well without enabling sin, to speak the truth in love, to set healthy boundaries, and to seek the help he needs. Guard him from bitterness and despair, help him to live with his wife according to knowledge, giving honor to her as a fellow heir of the grace of life 1 Peter 3:7. Restore this marriage, Lord, make their home a place of safety and respect and godly love, and if she does not yet know You, draw her to salvation in Jesus. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to keep praying without ceasing, to fast and pray for her deliverance, to remain in the Word daily yourself, and to not isolate. Bring other godly men and your pastor alongside you, pursue Christian counseling together, and continue to show her the love of Christ while refusing to accept sinful behavior as normal. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He is able to restore what is broken. We are standing with you in prayer for her complete healing and for your marriage to be strengthened to honor God.

Living with constant watching, questioning about where you walk and what you touch, and then being cursed at and belittled at home is exhausting and disorienting. Having clothes thrown away and hearing evil things said about your family would leave anyone feeling on edge and worn down. It makes sense you feel hurt and unsure what to do next, and that you are wondering about your wife and your marriage.

We are praying for you and for your wife, for safety, dignity and wisdom for both of you.

When things are calm, a steady next step is to talk one on one with a trusted pastor or counselor, not as a couple at first, and share what the day to day patterns have been like with the camera, the accusations and the name calling. Meeting individually can help you think through a safety plan, what boundaries are wise at home, and what ongoing support you need so you are not carrying this alone. If you have a trusted family member or friend, keeping them aware can also help you stay connected and clear headed.

Father, we lift this husband to You and ask for Your protection over him and his wife. Give him wisdom for each decision, safe people nearby to walk with him, and clarity as he seeks You. Work in both of their hearts and lead them toward help and toward Your grace and truth. In Jesus name, amen.

Your sorrow has been laid before the Lord and we have heard your burden concerning your wife and your household. We will pray with you, and we entreat you to continue steadfast in prayer, for the Lord hears the cry of those who are heavy laden.

The marriage bond is of God, and it is no light thing. He has made a household whereof the two are companion parts, and in a true marriage the husband and wife become one. This unity is the essence of the bond. The husband's love to his spouse is something special and particular, to be lavished upon her alone, as Christ loves His Church. He never shrinks from those loving works which belong to the husband of his chosen spouse. To this pattern you are called, even in a season of great trial, to walk in patient, faithful love, not rendering evil for evil, nor reviling again when reviled, but committing yourself to Him who judges righteously.

We grieve to hear of the fear and unrest that has taken hold of your wife, the constant watching and questioning, the destruction of what belongs to your home, and the bitter words, cursing and belittling, spoken against you and your family. These things ought not so to be. They are not the fruit of that mutual love which cements marriage, nor do they reflect the peace which Christ gives. A home cannot stand in such turmoil, and words so spoken wound the very oneness God intends.

You ask also whether she is saved, saying she does not seem saved. We cannot see the heart as God sees it, but we know this, that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, by His blood and grace, and that where He reigns there will be new life. If she has not yet truly turned to Him, then her greatest need is Christ Himself, and if she does belong to Him, then she stands in great need of His restoring grace.

Take courage from the history of Peter. He fell grievously, yet his Lord prayed for him, and that prayer prevailed. A look from Christ severed Peter from the crowd and brought him to repentance, and though he went out and wept bitterly, he was restored and afterwards strengthened. Even so, our Redeemer lives to intercede for His people, and His saving power is great enough to restore the fallen and to bring back the wandering. There is no heart so hardened, no bondage to fear or sin so strong, that His look of love and His prevailing prayer cannot break.

Therefore we will pray for your wife, that the Lord would quiet her fears and deliver her from paranoia, that He would restrain her anger and unwholesome speech, and that He would draw her to Himself in true conversion if she is not yet His. We will pray also for you, that you may be kept in meekness and wisdom, that you may love your wife as Christ loved the Church, with a love that is kind and steadfast, and that you may have grace to speak the truth in love and to set a godly example in your home.

We exhort you, brother, to seek the Lord and to open this matter fully to Him. Go to your pastor and ask him to walk with you, and to help you both. Do not walk alone in this affliction. Continue in the Scriptures, continue in prayer together, and where she will not, pray alone for her. Let your conduct be above reproach, patient and pure, that by your life the beauty of Christ may be commended to her.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who has ordained marriage and who joins husband and wife as one, look in mercy upon this household. Thou knowest the unrest, the fear, the harsh words and the sorrow therein. Have mercy upon this wife and deliver her from tormenting fear. Subdue her tongue, soften her heart, and grant her repentance where she has sinned against Thee and against her husband. If she has not yet been born again, we beseech Thee to open her eyes to see Christ the Lamb who was slain, and to bring her to salvation through Him alone. Restore her, we pray, and give her joy. And for this husband, grant him wisdom, patience, strength, and tender love, that he may walk faithfully in his vows, and that his home may be kept from bitterness. Let Thy peace rule in this home, and let both be made one in Thee. We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with Thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and we have taken your burden before the Lord with care. What you describe is painful and heavy, to live under constant watching and questioning in your own home, to have your belongings thrown away, and to endure cursing, belittling and harsh words against you and your family. It is right that you have brought this to prayer, and we will continue to pray with you.

Scripture calls us to follow peace with all men and holiness, and it teaches that marriage is a bond ordained by God and honorable. Marriage itself is not unholy, but it is meant to preserve holiness and to be lived with chasteness, order and love. It is not wine that makes drunkenness, but the misuse of it, and so it is with marriage. When it is used with moderation and grace, it can be a place of good things, but when anger, control and contempt enter, that peace is broken and both souls suffer.

We will pray for your wife. We pray that God would calm the fear and paranoia that drives her to watch and accuse, that He would heal her mind and give her peace, and that He would convict her where there is harsh speech and contempt. To revile and belittle is not from the Lord, and we pray that she would turn from cursing and name calling to words that build up. Above all we pray for her soul, that if she does not yet know Christ, she would come to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is hope that a spouse may be won and helped toward salvation by the faithful love and prayer of the other.

We also pray for you, that God would give you strength to walk without returning evil for evil. When we are reviled, we are called not to revile in return, and to seek peace even when it is hard. This does not mean you must accept abuse or live without boundaries. Love seeks what is good and holy, and that includes what is orderly and safe. Please seek wise and godly counsel quickly. Bring trusted pastors or elders from your church into this situation, and seek help from a qualified counselor who can assess what is driving this paranoia and controlling behavior. If you ever feel unsafe, seek safety and help at once and let your church leaders know what is happening.

Use this time to persevere in prayer, to remain faithful in your own walk, and to guard your heart from bitterness while also setting loving and clear boundaries in your home. Keep your conduct chaste, patient and honest, and commit your marriage to the Lord who is able to restore and to heal.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we lift this husband and wife to You. You see this home and every hurt within it. We ask for Your mercy and healing. Calm this wife's fear, quiet her heart, and free her from the thoughts that torment her. Convict her of harsh and evil speech and lead her to repentance and to new life in Christ. Give this husband wisdom, patience, peace and strength, and guard him from discouragement and anger. Let holiness and peace dwell in this marriage, and let this bond ordained by You be lived in love and honor. Provide godly counsel and help for them, and keep them safe. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone saves. Amen.

We will keep praying for you both. Please stay connected to your local church and let them walk with you in person through these next steps.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about what you are facing at home. To be constantly watched, questioned about where you walk and what you touch, to have your belongings thrown away, and to be cursed at and belittled with name calling and harsh words about your family is deeply painful and exhausting. It is understandable that you feel confused, hurt, and concerned for your wife.

Scripture teaches that marriage is a covenant given for this life. When Jesus was asked about marriage after the resurrection, He taught that in the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven, affirming that the resurrection is real and that marriage belongs to this present life. That helps put your situation in perspective. Your marriage is not a small thing. It is the God given covenant you are called to honor and steward faithfully before Him now, while you look to the hope of eternal life with Him.

It is also important to see this biblically. When David committed adultery and then had Uriah killed, he later confessed that his sin was ultimately against God, because he had broken what God had commanded. In the same way, cursing, belittling, name calling, and speaking evil are not only sins against you and your family, they are first sins against God. His commands about our speech and about love within marriage still stand. Understanding that helps you pray rightly and respond rightly, not with retaliation, but with a desire to honor God.

You mentioned you are not sure if your wife is saved. Only God knows the heart, and we cannot declare another person's salvation. What we can see is fruit, and what you describe does not reflect the character Christ produces. The call for you is to continue to pray for her salvation through Jesus Christ alone, to share the gospel gently when there is opportunity, and to live before her in a way that shows Christ. Scripture also shows that Jesus has real power over spiritual darkness and over affliction that holds people captive. The same Jesus who set free the man oppressed by many demons and who healed the woman who had suffered with bleeding for years still has power today to bring freedom, healing, and peace where there is torment and fear. Bring her paranoia, her fear, and her anger to Him in prayer, asking Him to work in her heart and mind.

At the same time, love does not mean accepting abuse or living without boundaries. Here are some steps to consider prayerfully:

Seek wise, personal help quickly. Talk with a mature pastor or elder who can know you both, hear both sides, and walk with you over time. Because of the controlling behavior, constant surveillance, and destruction of property you described, it would also be wise to seek a professional evaluation for her. Fear and paranoia that leads to watching, restricting where you can go in your own home, and discarding clothes that were touched can have spiritual and also mental health dimensions that need careful, face to face care.

Guard your own speech and conduct. Scripture calls husbands to love their wives and to let no corrupting talk come from their mouths. You cannot control her words, but you can ask God to help you not return insult for insult, to speak truth calmly, and to not provoke or escalate moments of tension.

Set clear and calm boundaries. It is reasonable to say that cursing, name calling, and destroying property are not acceptable, and to step away from a conversation that becomes abusive. If you ever feel unsafe or if behavior escalates, seek immediate help from trusted family, church leaders, or appropriate authorities. Your safety matters.

Keep praying and staying in the Word. Pray for her, for your own endurance and wisdom, and for God to be at work in your home. Stay connected to fellowship so you are not carrying this alone.

Praying for you now, that God would give you wisdom, strength, and peace, that He would draw your wife to Himself, bring conviction where there is sin, bring calm where there is fear, and bring healing to your home. May He guard your heart, help you to love as Christ loves, and lead you to the right helpers who can walk with you both closely.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your wife and for your marriage.

We have continued to bring your wife before the Lord and we remember the heavy burden you shared about the camera in your home and how she is using it to fuel her paranoia by watching you and questioning you about everything you touch and where you walk. We have prayed for the controlling behavior you described, including her throwing your clothes in the garbage after you went into your bedroom without her permission and coming home early from work to throw away what she believed you touched. We have also lifted up the deep hurt caused by her constant cursing and belittling and name calling and the evil things she says about your family. We share your concern for her heart and whether she knows Jesus as Savior, and we have asked God to draw her to Himself.

We pray in Jesus Name that the Lord would deliver your wife from a spirit of fear and paranoia and replace it with His peace, for we remember what is written in 2 Tim 1:7 and Phil 4:7. We pray that God would soften her heart and bring conviction and healing where there is control and anger, and that her speech would be transformed according to Eph 4:29. We pray for her salvation if she is not yet saved, that she would put her trust in Jesus Christ. We also pray for you, that God would give you strength and grace and wisdom and protection in your home, and that He would guard your marriage and bring restoration and peace between you both.

If your request was answered and the Lord has brought peace to your home or softened your wife's heart, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name Amen.
