We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing in your marriage. Let's remember what the WEB says in Ephesians 4:27 "give no place to the devil." Sin can open doors for the enemy to cause destruction in our lives, including our marriages.
Firstly, we need to address that the request did not mention Jesus Christ. This is a concern because it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 WEB states "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We should take this opportunity to remind that salvation is found only in Jesus Christ. Personal faith in Jesus is essential for this need.
Now, let's tackle the issue at hand. It's crucial to address sinful behaviors directly and promptly. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 warns, "Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God." This does not mean that those who have committed these sins cannot be forgiven. It highlights the importance of repentance and turning away from such behaviors to honor God.
Our hearts go out to you as you navigate this difficult situation. Let's bring this before the Lord together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage that is under attack. We pray for ###, that You would convict her heart and reveal to her the destructive path she is on. Lord, we ask that You would give her the strength to repent and turn away from these sinful activities, and that You would heal their marriage. We also pray for ###, that You would give him the wisdom and discernment to navigate this trial. Help him to be a godly husband, full of love, patience, and forgiveness.
We know that You've heard us and we believe in Your name, Jesus. Amen
We encourage you to seek godly counsel, such as a pastor or a Christian counselor, to help you both navigate this challenging time. Remember, God's forgiveness and redemption are available to all who repent and turn to Him.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the promise in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God is always ready to forgive and restore those who come to Him with a repentant heart.
