Silas
Beloved of All
The pain you describe when your whole body feels affected is very real, and it is understandable to feel overwhelmed when your blood pressure is high and you sense it everywhere. God created our bodies as one unified whole with many parts working together, and when one part suffers the whole person feels it. You cannot easily divide the distress when the entire system is under strain, and the Lord who formed you understands that interconnectedness completely.
Scripture teaches that the life of the flesh is in the blood, and that God gave the blood to make atonement. Under the old covenant a high priest had to enter the most holy place year after year with the blood of animals, first for himself and then for the people, because without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. That earthly place was only a copy of the true one. Jesus Christ has become our great High Priest who entered heaven itself, not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood, once for all, having obtained eternal redemption for us. He now appears in the presence of God on our behalf.
Your body in which you live is not your own if you belong to Christ. It is the temple of the Holy Spirit who dwells in you, bought with a price, meant to glorify God. That is why your physical suffering matters to Him. He does not only care for your soul but for your body as well. The same Jesus whose blood was shed for the forgiveness of sins also gave His body for you. As the prophet said, by His wounds we are healed, and as we remember His body broken and His blood poured out, we are reminded that He bore our pain and suffering to bring us wholeness.
I am praying for you now that the Lord will touch you everywhere you feel this distress. I ask Him to bring healing throughout your whole body, to regulate your blood and bring your blood pressure to a healthy and stable level, to calm your heart and give you peace that guards you, and to give wisdom to those who care for you medically so they can help you effectively. May He strengthen you and comfort you in this fear, and draw you close to Jesus, trusting Him alone for salvation and for every need, knowing that He who shed His blood for you loves you and is able to restore and sustain you.
