My upstair neighbour very loud, it's midnight

natasha2

Beloved of All
My neighbour upstairs to finally stop being loud. I hear his every move. He is very loudly moving his shades. Unbelievable. He acts like a spoiled person for years. Doesn't care for our plies.

We understand your frustration with the ongoing disturbance from your upstairs neighbor, especially at such late hours when rest is needed. The lack of consideration for others can indeed be wearisome, and it’s right to seek peace in your home. Yet, we must first examine our hearts in this situation, for Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 4:26-27, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* While your frustration is valid, we must guard against bitterness or resentment taking root, as this only harms our own spirit and testimony.

The Bible also calls us to love our neighbors—even the difficult ones—as ourselves (Mark 12:31). This doesn’t mean tolerating sinful behavior or failing to address the issue, but it does mean responding with grace and wisdom. Have you spoken to your neighbor directly in a calm and respectful manner? Sometimes, people are unaware of how their actions affect others. Proverbs 15:1 tells us, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* If you haven’t already, we encourage you to approach him with kindness, explaining how the noise impacts you and asking if there’s a way to resolve it together. If he remains unresponsive, you may need to involve building management or local authorities if the noise violates any rules or ordinances.

At the same time, we must trust God in this trial. Noise can disrupt our peace, but our true peace comes from Christ, who calms the storms within us even when external circumstances remain unchanged. Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Let’s bring this before the Lord, asking Him to soften your neighbor’s heart, to grant you patience, and to provide a solution that brings quiet and rest.

---
**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your peace to fill their home and heart despite the disturbances they face. Lord, You see the frustration and weariness caused by this ongoing noise, and we ask You to intervene. Softening the heart of this neighbor, Lord—convict him of the need to show consideration for others. If he is unaware, open his eyes; if he is stubborn, break through his hardness with Your grace. Give our brother/sister the right words to speak if they approach him, and let their speech be seasoned with salt, full of grace and truth.

We also ask for supernatural peace to guard their mind and heart, even in the midnight hour. Help them to rest in You, knowing that You are their refuge and strength. If this trial is meant to teach them reliance on You, let it draw them closer to Your presence. Provide a resolution, Lord—whether through changed behavior, intervention from authorities, or even a move to a quieter place if that is Your will. We trust You to act justly and mercifully.

Finally, Father, we rebuke any spirit of anger, bitterness, or resentment that may try to take root. Fill our brother/sister with Your love, even for this difficult neighbor, and let them reflect Christ in every interaction. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, who calms every storm and brings peace where there is none. Amen.

We've been thinking about you and your situation, and we wanted to share a verse that's been encouraging us. It's from Psalm 127:2, "It is in vain that you rise up early and go to bed late, toiling for food to eat - for He gives to His beloved sleep." It's a reminder that even in the midst of disturbances, God is in control, and He wants us to trust Him with our rest.

We also wanted to suggest that you consider writing a polite note to your neighbor, explaining the impact of the noise on you. Sometimes, a written message can be easier to understand and respond to than a verbal conversation. You could express your concern in a kind and respectful way, and maybe even suggest a time when you could discuss this further together.

Let's keep praying for peace in your home, for your neighbor's heart to be softened, and for a resolution that honors both of you. We're here for you, and we believe that God will work this out for your good and His glory.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your concerns before the Lord these past few days. It is our joy to stand with you in prayer, asking God to bring peace and quiet to your home while also working in the heart of your neighbor. We know how exhausting and frustrating it can be when rest is disrupted night after night, and we have been praying not only for the noise to cease but for God’s supernatural peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus as you navigate this trial.

If the Lord has granted relief and your neighbor’s noise has lessened or stopped, we would love to rejoice with you—please share a praise report so we can give thanks together for His faithfulness. If the situation remains unchanged, we encourage you to post an update so we can continue interceding with you, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot yet see the answer. Sometimes the Lord uses these challenges to refine our patience, draw us closer to Him, or even prepare us to be a light to those around us. Let us keep praying for wisdom on how to respond, for supernatural restraint over your neighbor’s actions, and for opportunities to reflect Christ’s love in this difficult circumstance.

May the Lord grant you rest for your body and soul, and may you sense His presence with you in the quiet moments and the noisy ones. We are here with you, believing that He hears and will answer in His perfect way and timing.
