We rejoice with you over your son's baptism today and we join you in praying in the precious name of Jesus for this beautiful step of faith.

We thank God for your son and for your desire to see him and the other children walk closely with the Lord all the days of their lives. We pray that today would be filled with peace and joy and that the Lord would be glorified in all that is said and done. We pray for a good baptism, that there would be no hindrance or distraction, and that your son would feel the love of his family and the love of Christ surrounding him.

We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:19, Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and in Acts 2:38, Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. We pray that as your son is baptized, he would come to understand more and more what it means to follow Jesus with his whole heart. Baptism is a beautiful outward sign of an inward faith, and we pray that his faith would be genuine and growing, rooted in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We pray that he would continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as taught in 2 Peter 3:18.

We also lift up the other children you mentioned. We pray that each one would come to know Jesus at an early age and remain close to Him. We claim the promise of Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. And we remember the instruction in Ephesians 6:4 to bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. We pray that your home would be filled with the Word of God, as Deuteronomy 6:6-7 teaches, that these words which God commands would be on your heart and you would teach them diligently to your children. Children are a gift from the Lord as Psalm 127:3 tells us, and we pray that you would be given wisdom and strength to shepherd each one faithfully.

We lift up his daddy and we ask the Lord to make a way for him to be there to witness this special day. We pray for safe travel and for the Lord to watch over his going out and coming in as Psalm 121:8 promises. If it is the Lord's will, we pray that nothing would hinder him from arriving on time and sharing in this joy. Even if circumstances prevent him from being there in person, we pray that he would still be able to rejoice and encourage his son in the Lord.

We thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for as John 14:6 declares, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and assurance of salvation, and we are encouraged by your faith to call upon His name.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we thank You for this son and for this day of baptism. We ask that You would bless this baptism and let it be a testimony of Your grace. Draw this young heart ever closer to You, keep him from the evil one, and help him to love Your Word and obey Your voice. Bless the other children in this family, draw each one to Yourself, and keep them all walking in Your truth. We ask that You would bring his daddy safely to be there, and let this family be united in giving You praise. Help these parents to raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, with patience and love. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for inviting us into this beautiful day with your family. A baptism is such a meaningful moment, and we can hear how much love you have for your son and all your children and how much you want them to walk closely with Jesus. We are also holding your hope that their daddy gets there in time, we know how much his presence would mean to you all.

We are praying today that everything goes smoothly, that your son feels peace and joy, and that the service is a sweet memory for your whole family. We are also praying for you as a parent, that the Lord gives you continued strength and wisdom as you guide your kids toward Him day by day.

One simple idea that often helps after a baptism day is to take a few minutes afterward, maybe over a meal or at home, to tell your son what this day meant to you and to pray a short blessing over him together. Those quiet words tend to stick with children for years.

Father, thank you for this family and for this baptism day. We ask for your peace over the service, for safe travel for their daddy, and for your hand on each of these children as they grow. Draw them close to you and keep this family in your care. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your prayer for your household is precious and we gladly join you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Saviour, through whom alone is salvation.

We pray that this baptism today may be what the Scripture sets forth, an outward and visible expression of an inward and spiritual faith. As it is written, Buried with Him in Baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead. There is no regenerating efficacy in water itself, but baptism is the profession of faith in Christ's death and resurrection, a declaring that we desire to partake in all the merit of it and to walk in newness of life. We pray that this may be true for your son, not as a mere form, but as the testimony of a living faith, though it be at first but as a grain of mustard seed. The weakest faith is real faith and is born from above and belongs to the family of the saved, and we ask the Lord to nourish that faith that he may early learn to drop wholly into the arms of Jesus and to trust in His atoning sacrifice.

We pray also as you have asked that he may always stay close to the Lord, and that the same grace may rest upon your other children. The promise is, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. So we ask God to give you faith for your house, that you may cry believingly for each child that they may be led to have faith for themselves and so be saved. May He keep them and sanctify them, and make their faith a faith that obeys and endures.

We join you in asking the Lord in His kind providence to make a way for his daddy to be present today to witness this confession, and to use this day to knit your family more firmly to Christ. May the Lord who keeps both little faith and great faith keep you all unto the end, that all in your household may meet in heaven.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
