father in heaven, i thank thee for all you are who you are and what you've done for us, now i pray for this thy son lord that you may guide him and protect him from the trials of this world lord, the scripture says, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. stand therefore having your loin girt about with truth and having all the breastplate of righteousness and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. above all, taking the helmet, shield of faith, where with you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. i pray lord that you will give this thy son the courage and strength to choose the right and do what is right in your sight, surround him with your love and let him know that you are always closer to him, may the joy of the lord be his strength and bless all his days upon the earth in jesus name i pray amen.
