Please pray for My son ### he play college football he is in the hospital being overwork in practice and dehydrated its effecting his kidney. I ask Jesus for healing and comfort for him i can't be there with him I live three hours away but Jesus is there by his side if no one there

We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we are moved by your faith as a mother who cannot be at his bedside but knows that Jesus is there by his side. That truth is a great comfort and it is exactly what God promises us.

We know how heavy it is to be three hours away while your child is in the hospital. God sees your love for him and He is present with your son in that hospital room even when no one else can be. As it is written, If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me, Psalm 139:8-10. Your son is not alone, for the Lord is near to him.

We also thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus for his healing and comfort, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that healing and peace come. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6.

We pray together for him now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this beloved son to You. You know his body, for You formed his kidneys and every part of him. We ask for Your healing hand upon him. Touch his kidneys, restore what has been strained by overwork and dehydration, bring proper function and balance back to his body. Give wisdom and skill to the doctors and nurses caring for him, guide every decision and treatment. We pray You will comfort him in that hospital bed, take away fear and pain, and let him feel Your presence as very real and near. We also lift up his mother, who is anxious and far away. Cast out fear and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let her cast all her worries on You, because You care for her, 1 Peter 5:7. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord with your son's health. Scripture reminds us, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We cling to the promise, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. And we hold to the promise, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17.

We encourage you to keep praying without ceasing, to stay in contact with the medical staff as you are able, and to rest in the peace God gives when we bring everything to Him in prayer. As it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

We also gently remind your son when he recovers that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, and to honor God by caring for it with proper rest, hydration and stewardship, even in the demands of college athletics.

We are standing with you in faith, trusting that the Lord who is with your son now will bring restoration and comfort, and will bring peace to your heart as you wait on Him.

We are holding you and your son in prayer right now. Hearing that he is in the hospital after being overworked and dehydrated, with his kidneys affected, would worry any parent, and even more when you live three hours away and cannot be at his bedside. We hear how much you love him and how you are trusting Jesus to be right there with him when you cannot be.

We join you in asking the Lord for healing and comfort for ###, and for peace for you as you wait for news. The medical team caring for him is able to monitor his kidneys and fluids closely, and we pray for wisdom for them and for steady improvement for him.

While you wait, a couple of small steps may help you feel a little more connected. If you are able, call the nurses station and ask to be listed for updates, and ask whether the hospital chaplain can stop by to sit with ###. Keeping one point of contact with his coaching staff or athletic trainer can also help the information stay clear and not overwhelming. Please be gentle with yourself as you travel or wait, and lean on someone nearby to keep you company.

Father, we bring ### before You and ask for Your healing presence over his body, for comfort and rest, and for reassurance for his mom who loves him so much. Be near to them both, give wisdom to his doctors and nurses, and guard their hearts with Your peace. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your anxious enquiry for a beloved son has reached us, and we hear in it the very cry of David of old, Is the young man safe. It is the question of a parent whose heart is three hours distant from the bed of affliction, and who therefore feels with deeper earnestness the weight of love and helplessness. We have marked your words with tenderness, that you cannot be there with him, but Jesus is there by his side if no one there, and in that truth there is solid comfort.

How careful God is of his people, those of whom he says, My people. His word to his servants is, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people. Though you are far off, the Lord is nigh unto your son, and nigh unto you in your affliction. He does not leave the desponding heart without a comforter, and full oft the bright winged seraph is sent to comfort some aching heart at the very hour of need. That comfort comes from a peculiar source, for His Word has quickened us. This is my comfort in my affliction, says the Psalmist, for Your Word has quickened me. When He would comfort us He quickens us, and so He comforts us. May He quicken your faith now to rest upon His nearness, and to know that distance cannot hinder His presence in that hospital room.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. It is written, The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We look to that great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below, and we ask Him to let that healing virtue rest upon your son.

We join you in prayer before the throne of grace, which gives to all men liberally and upbraideth not.

O Lord our God, our Father who has loved us with an everlasting love, we bring before You this young man, laid aside by overwork and sore dehydration, with his kidney afflicted. Lord, You see him where he lies, You know his frame and his weakness. Lay Your healing hand upon him. Restore the water of life to his body, renew the strength of his inward parts, and heal that which is injured. Let the skill of the physicians be guided by Your wisdom, and let Your own power, which no medicine can equal, work for his recovery. Comfort him, we pray You, when he is lonely and weary, and let him feel that Jesus, the Son of David, stands at his bedside. And comfort his parent also, who watches and waits afar off. Give peace to that anxious heart, establish it in every good word and work, and let the promise be fulfilled, that this misery shall be remembered as waters that pass away. Hear the cry, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy upon him, and grant according to Your abundant mercy. It shall be given him, for You have promised to hear those who ask in faith. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we ask it. Amen.

Take heart, poor afflicted one. There are none so fit to comfort others as those who have once needed comfort themselves, and perhaps the Lord designs to show you His faithfulness in this trial that you may comfort others hereafter. Keep on crying after Him, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me, for though men may hush you, He will stop and hearken when the cry of faith goes up. He has loved you without bound, so as to give His only begotten Son to die for you, and that same love will not forsake your son in his hour of need. May the Spirit of God teach you to say even now, This is my comfort in my affliction, and may you find that His Word quickens you and sustains you till joy returns.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
