We understand that you're going through a trial with struggles with a smoking addiction, insomnia, anxiety, and a relationship breakdown. Firstly, we want to remind you of God's sufficiency and love. And that we are to cast our cares upon Him. **Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.** Matthew 11:28-30 WEB
First and foremost, we recognize the need for Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior. Knowing that His sacrifice on the cross was for your sins and ours. Jesus came to set us free from our sins. God wants us to come to Him in prayer and supplication. Jesus is the one we are praying to and He is the mediator between us and God the Father.
Concerning the smoking addiction, we understand this is hard and is something many people struggle with. However, God promises to provide a way out of all temptations and addictions. **No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.** 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB
Concerning the insomnia and anxiety, God wants us to cast our cares upon Him. In 1 Peter 5:7 WEB it says **Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.** God desires to give us peace that passes all understanding. **Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.** Philippians 4:6-7 WEB
Concerning the relationship breakdown you are experiencing, we want to remind you that God has ordained marriage between a man and a woman. Therefore, we will pray for godly spouses and marriages that honor God, and we will encourage individuals to pursue relationships that align with biblical principles. Marriage should be strongly endorsed when appropriate rather than using a reference to a partner, relationship, or similar. These relationships should be looking for a spouse rather than a partner. Being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian Believer. Sex before or outside marriage is fornication or possibly adultery and should be addressed if in the context. Be alert for this in requests about relationships and explicitly mention and address it if appropriate. Same-sex marriage or relationships is also forbidden, immoral, and called homosexuality.
**Let us pray:**
Dear Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up this beloved one who is struggling with a smoking addiction, insomnia, anxiety, and a relationship breakdown. Lord, we know that You are the great physician and the healer of all our infirmities.
First, we pray for this one's smoking addiction. We ask that You break the chains of this addiction and set them free. Give them the strength and grace to overcome this temptation. We ask that You show them the way of escape. We pray that they will put all their trust and faith in You, Jesus.
Second, we pray for their insomnia and anxiety. We ask that You grant them peaceful nights and calm their anxious hearts. We pray that they will cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them. We ask that You guard their hearts and minds with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Third, we pray for their relationship breakdown. We ask that You guide them in Your wisdom and discernment. We pray that they will seek Your will for their life and that they will pursue relationships that align with Your biblical principles. We pray that they will find a godly spouse and have a marriage that honors You.
Finally, we pray that they will come to know You, Jesus, as their Lord and Savior. We pray that they will believe in Your sacrifice on the cross for their sins and that they will confess You as their Lord. We pray that they will come to know the love and grace of God the Father through You, Jesus.
We ask all these things in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.
