Disciple of Prayer
Pray for my sister Lisa & me, Nina. She’s my best friend and we are in trouble. My husband ghosted me & our two daughters. Grown women now. I drank myself out of my job and into a jail cell ( public intoxication) then an old folks nursing home. I need God’s help. His healing and forgiveness. Pray He gives my life back to me. Respect. Love. My sisters love & friendship. I miss Lisa and our family. We used to cook and listen to music and sit outside. I want that back. Please pray for us. Nina, Lisa, Lauren, Maggie, Daniel & Amelia. I need God’s help and forgiveness. Pray please. I need help. Nina Wilson. Oklahoma

We hear your cry, dear sister in Christ, and we lift you, Lisa, Lauren, Maggie, Daniel, and Amelia up to the throne of grace together. The pain of abandonment, the weight of addiction, and the loneliness of separation from loved ones is heavy, but we know that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone, and your desire to turn back to Him and to the love of your family is a testament to the Holy Spirit working in your heart.

First, we must address the sin that has taken hold in your life—not to condemn, but to call you to repentance and restoration. The Bible is clear that drunkenness is a work of the flesh that leads to destruction (Galatians 5:19-21, Proverbs 20:1). It has cost you your job, your freedom, and even time with those you love. But Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and He is able to break every chain. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in your life in the name of Jesus. We declare that you are no longer a slave to alcohol, but a child of the Most High God, called to walk in freedom (John 8:36).

Your husband’s abandonment is a deep wound, and we grieve with you. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and his actions have not honored God or the vows he made before Him. But we pray that God would heal your heart and give you strength to forgive, not for his sake alone, but for your own peace (Colossians 3:13). We also pray for your daughters, Lauren and Maggie, that they would know their worth in Christ and not carry the scars of their father’s choices. May they see your faith and be drawn to the love of Jesus, who never leaves nor forsakes His children (Hebrews 13:5).

We lift up your sister Lisa, who has been your best friend and support. The enemy seeks to divide families, but we pray that God would restore your relationship stronger than before. May He soften both of your hearts to extend grace, forgive past hurts, and rebuild what has been broken. The love of family is a gift from God, and we ask that He would rekindle the joy you once shared—cooking, listening to music, and sitting outside together in His presence.

For Daniel and Amelia, we pray that they would come to know the Lord personally if they do not already. May they see the transformation in your life and be drawn to the hope found only in Jesus Christ. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, we pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister Nina and her family. Lord, You see the pain, the shame, and the brokenness she carries. We ask that You would pour out Your mercy and grace upon her. Forgive her, Father, for the times she has turned to alcohol instead of to You. Cleanse her heart and renew her mind (Romans 12:2). Break the chains of addiction in her life, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit so that she may walk in freedom and victory.

Lord, we pray for restoration in her marriage and family. Heal the wounds caused by abandonment and betrayal. Give Nina the strength to forgive and the wisdom to move forward in a way that honors You. Restore her relationship with Lisa, and let their bond be a testimony of Your redeeming love. Bring Lauren and Maggie close to You, and let them see Your faithfulness in their mother’s life.

Father, we ask that You would open doors for Nina—doors of opportunity, provision, and hope. Give her a fresh start, a new job, and a community of believers who will walk alongside her. Let her experience Your love in tangible ways so that she may know she is never alone.

We declare that Nina’s life is not over. You have plans for her, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells her she is unworthy or beyond Your reach. You are the God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5), and we trust You to do just that in her life.

Lord, we pray for salvation for Daniel and Amelia. Draw them to Yourself, and let them know the love of Christ that surpasses all understanding. May this family be united not just by blood, but by faith in You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is by His blood that we are forgiven, by His resurrection that we are made new, and by His name alone that we have access to You. Thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in Nina and her family. Amen.

Sister, we want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. You are not defined by your past or your mistakes. The Apostle Paul wrote, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). This is your promise. You are a new creation in Christ, and He is making all things new in your life.

We also want to gently remind you that true healing and restoration come through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you have never surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, turn away from them, and invite Jesus to be the Lord of your life. He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). There is no other way to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).

Seek out a local church where you can grow in your faith and find support. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and you need brothers and sisters in Christ to walk with you on this journey. If you are not sure where to start, ask God to lead you to the right community.

Lastly, take one day at a time. Recovery and restoration are processes, but God is faithful. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. “Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6). You are loved, you are valued, and you have a purpose in God’s kingdom. Keep pressing forward.

We're right here with you, ###, lifting you up in prayer. We've been where you are, feeling lost and alone, but we've found our way back to the light through Jesus. We're not going to sugarcoat it, the road ahead looks tough, but we know that with God, all things are possible.

First, let's tackle the addiction. We know it's a monster that's taken control, but remember, Jesus is the One who said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10). He's here to set you free, ###. It won't be easy, but with each step, with each day, trust that He's walking right beside you. We're claiming that freedom over your life right now, in Jesus' name.

Your husband's actions have left deep wounds, but we're praying for healing, not just for you, but for your whole family. We're asking God to give you the strength to forgive, not because he deserves it, but because it's the key to your own peace. And for your daughters, ### and ###, we're praying that they'll know their worth in Christ, that they'll see their mom's faith and be drawn to Jesus' love.

###, your sister and best friend, she's been a rock for you. We're praying that your bond will grow even stronger through this. We're asking God to soften both of your hearts, to help you forgive and rebuild what's been broken. Remember the good times, cooking, listening to music, sitting outside together? We're claiming those days back, in Jesus' name.

We're also praying for ### and ###. If they don't know Jesus yet, we're asking God to draw them to Him. And if they do, we're praying that they'll see the transformation in your life and be encouraged in their own walk.

###, you're not alone. We're here, praying with you, believing with you. And God, He's right there, closer than your next breath. Trust Him, ###. He's got this.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
