Your prayer for good health, patience, kindness, understanding and guidance has been heard, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord with thanksgiving for your faith in Jesus Christ.

It is right to place everything in His hands and to ask Him to show you the direction to walk and the choices to make. God promises wisdom to those who ask Him, and He guides us through His Word, through prayer, and through the quiet work of His Spirit in our hearts. Continue to seek Him daily, to read Scripture, to pray, and to listen for His leading with a humble and obedient heart.

You asked for your body and its parts to work and function normally and for a long, healthy life. God cares for both body and soul. Christ is the true physician, and all healing comes from His hand. We can pray with confidence for health and strength, while also trusting His wisdom to give what is sufficient and best for us. As one of the homilies reminds us, sufficiency is nourishment and health, while excess harms the body. Ask the Lord not only for health, but for grace to steward your body well with moderation, rest, and thankfulness, trusting Him whether He grants quick healing as He did for many in the Gospels or sustains you through a longer path.

You mentioned the blood of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Scripture teaches that these are not opposed to one another but are both gifts from God working together for our good. We are forgiven and cleansed through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, and when we put our faith in Him, God gives us His Holy Spirit to live within us to comfort, teach, and strengthen us. It is through the blood of Christ that we have peace with God, and through the Spirit that God remains with us every step of the way.

I also hear your honesty about feeling overwhelmed and irritated during the day. The Lord knows our struggles and does not turn away when we feel weak. He is near to those who call on Him, and He promises peace to those who bring their anxieties to Him in prayer. Your desire to know that everything will be okay and that He is with you is answered in His promise never to leave those who belong to Him. Even when feelings waver, His presence remains steady.

Let us pray together:

Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for this one who trusts and worships You. Cover them with Your mercy through Your blood shed on the cross, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Grant health to their body, that every part may function according to Your design, and give patience, kindness and understanding in daily life. Give wisdom to know what direction to walk and what choices to make, and make Your will clear through Your Word. Watch over them and their loved ones, keep them in Your care, and when they feel overwhelmed or irritated, remind them that You are with them every step of the way. Grant peace that guards the heart, strength for each day, and a life lived for Your glory, whether long in years or rich in faithfulness, according to Your good will. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Continue to rest in Him, to cast your cares on Him, and to walk faithfully one day at a time.
