Humble Servant of All
My husband's family needs serious prayer. Yesterday, my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law both betrayed a confidence. Additionally, they blamed me for one of their problems. This infuriates me because I have done more for my husband's family in the 12 years I have been a part of this family than my sister-in-law has ever done in her 48 years of life. She and her 2 children abandoned their home and moved in with my in-laws almost 10 years ago because she didn't want the responsibility. My mother-in-law codles to the three of them. They are not to be bothered or go out of their way to do anything. Instead of calling an ambulance, they let my father-in-law lie in a diabetic coma for over 4 hours, then they called us, we called the ambulance, and they cursed us like we were dogs. My father-in-law ultimately died. Anything happens, they call us. They all, including my mother-in-law, think the world owes them everything. My mother-in-law gets angry because my husband doesn't stop to see her every day. We live in the same yard. You can't walk into that house without the husky jumping in your face. Yes, they have a Siberian husky as an inside dog. The dog barks the entire time you're in the home and she is not allowed to be moved so someone can sit. The dog will bite. They refuse to turn the TV down so you can carry on a conversation over the dog's barking. If you are able to sit, the husky is running and jumping over your head or in your lap.
My mother-in-law has refused to handle anything from her husband's death last year. He left the little car to my husband, but until she takes my father-in-law's name off the title, the car just sits. That car gets great gas mileage.
My husband found out yesterday that his mom rented the farm land for someone else to hunt on. Fine. But he found out from the neighbor. She didn't have the decency to tell him ahead of time. She had some things she wanted to sell. I had to post them for sale; the grown grandchildren and her daughter "don't know how." Well, they learn how to do what they want to do, and posting an ad is simple. They just can't be bothered.
We had the ice storm. Lots of limbs and twigs down. No one in that house has ever offered to pick up anything out of the yard. Me and my husband mow all three acres, do all the cleaning of the yard.
I apologize. I am just so frustrated. All four of them have an income, but my mother-in-law pays all the bills, then complains to me she doesn't have enough money to cover everything. She pays the grandchildren's car insurance instead of making them be responsible for it. And she makes one of their car payments. Someone else pays for their phones.
Yet she expects us to drop everything on the spur of the moment to do things for them. And if we don't, we are dogs.
We can't afford to move as much as I want to be as far away from them as I can get. And I have learned not to say anything you don't want repeated or twisted to make you the evil person.
