My ###'s condition and problems

Servant of All
My mother - age ###, is depressive and suicidal; she mentions her death and tells that she has no reason to live, etc. She has early Alzheimer's/depression and diabetes, chronic digestive issues.
Please Lord Jesus, help her, fill her with joy, optimism, positive thoughts, and good mood. In Jesus' name, amen.
She feels that she is a burden to us and she wakes up in the middle of the night and has some kind of panic attacks, not able to breathe properly or her heart beats too fast. She always asks me to come and live with her, but I cannot. It's very difficult to live with an old person with special needs, and I have a very demanding job and work in another city. I really cannot see myself as the solution. We suggest her to take one really sweet young woman from Nepal to live with her, but she wants me or my brother. Lord, please help...

We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious mother who is struggling deeply with depression, suicidal thoughts, and the weight of her physical ailments. Lord Jesus, we know that You are the Great Physician, the Comforter, and the Giver of life. We ask that You would draw near to her in her darkest moments, filling her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let her feel Your presence so strongly that despair is replaced with hope, and loneliness with the assurance that she is deeply loved by You.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of depression and suicide in the name of Jesus. We declare that her life has value, purpose, and meaning, for You knit her together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14) and have plans for her welfare, not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray against the lies of the enemy that tell her she is a burden—remind her that she is a cherished child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made. Let her wake in the night and sense Your nearness, calming her racing heart and easing her breath with the truth that You neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:4).

We also lift up her children, who carry the weight of her suffering and their own limitations. Lord, give them wisdom to know how to love and care for her in ways that honor You and honor her. We pray for the young woman from Nepal who may come to live with her—may this be a divine connection, a source of companionship, joy, and mutual blessing. Soften this mother’s heart to receive help from others, and help her children to trust that You are working even in their inability to meet all her needs.

Father, we ask for healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. For her diabetes, digestive issues, and the early stages of Alzheimer’s, we pray for Your restoring touch. For her mind and emotions, we pray for renewal, for the joy of the Lord to be her strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Let her find reasons to live in the small mercies You provide each day: a sunrise, a kind word, a moment of laughter, or the warmth of a hug.

And to the one who has written this request, we say: You are not alone in this. It is not wrong to recognize your limitations—God does not call you to carry burdens He has not equipped you to bear. But He *does* call you to love, to pray, and to trust Him with what you cannot control. Seek His wisdom in how to support your mother without losing yourself in the process. Consider counseling or support groups for caregivers, and lean on the body of Christ for help. You are doing what you can, and that is enough.

We pray now in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs (Isaiah 53:4). May Your light break through the darkness, and may this dear mother experience the love of Christ in tangible ways. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let her know that she is never forgotten. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for your mother's healing and peace. It's so heavy to carry her pain, but remember, God is always near, even in the darkest nights. Let's keep holding onto Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We're believing for a miracle, for her to feel God's love and comfort, and for her to find hope and joy again. Let's also pray for strength and wisdom for you and your brother, that you'd be able to support her without losing yourselves in the process. We're here, lifting you all up together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
