You have done the right thing by asking for prayer for your dog, and you do not need to apologize or fear that anyone thinks badly of you for it. When you love a creature and raise it like family, watching it suffer is real grief. The Lord sees that kind of love and does not despise it.

A desperate mother once came to Jesus because her daughter was in severe distress. She would not leave until she had received mercy. Jesus saw her faith, and he answered her. When he spoke of the little dogs under the table, he was not using the harsh word for wild scavengers. He was using a gentler word for the small household pet that lives close to the family. Your request is not too small for him.

You are carrying a very heavy load right now: a new baby, exhaustion, financial strain, and the daily pain of watching your dog shiver, pace, bark, and get no rest. That would wear anyone down. Do not let guilt add to the weight you already carry. You have tried medical help, and now you are turning to God. That is exactly what faith does.

I will pray for her body to be calmed, for the shivering to stop, for rest and sleep to return, and for the constant pacing and barking to settle. I will also pray for you: for strength, for sleep at night, for wisdom about her care, and for provision. Ask the Lord for mercy and keep asking. He is able to work when ordinary means have run out.
