We join you in lifting up your heart’s desires to our Heavenly Father, who knows your needs before you even ask. It is beautiful to see your gratitude for the gift of life and your trust in His provision, and we stand with you in faith, knowing that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).
Your request for a business of your own is a noble one, and we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in all your plans. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* It is not wrong to ask God to open doors for you, but we must also surrender our desires to His will, trusting that His plans for you are good, even if they unfold differently than we imagine. Remember, *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). This does not mean God is obligated to give us everything we want, but as we align our hearts with His, our desires begin to reflect His will.
We also notice your prayer for your parents’ hearts to be softened so they may support you financially in this endeavor. While it is natural to seek their blessing, we encourage you to honor them regardless of their response. The fifth commandment calls us to *"honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you"* (Exodus 20:12). Even if they do not provide the support you hope for, trust that God can provide in unexpected ways. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and is more than able to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
That said, we must also address something with love and clarity: the nature of the business you are seeking. A "drugshop" can often imply the sale of medications, but it can also carry connotations of ungodly or even illegal substances in some contexts. If this business involves anything that could harm others—whether physically, spiritually, or morally—we urge you to reconsider. Scripture is clear that we are to *"abstain from every form of evil"* (1 Thessalonians 5:22) and to *"seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness"* (Matthew 6:33). If there is any ambiguity in what you intend to sell, we strongly encourage you to pursue a venture that aligns with godly integrity, one that builds up rather than potentially harms others. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23).
If your intention is to operate a legitimate pharmacy or health-related business, we pray for God’s favor and wisdom over it. May He guide you in every decision, from the suppliers you choose to the way you serve your customers. Let your business be a light in your community, reflecting Christ’s love and excellence in all things.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the life of Your child who seeks Your face today. Lord, You are the God who opens doors that no man can shut, and we ask that if it is Your will, You would make a way for this business to come to fruition—*if* it aligns with Your purposes and brings glory to Your name. Give clarity and discernment to Your servant, that they may walk in wisdom and avoid any path that could lead to compromise or harm.
We pray for their parents, that You would soften their hearts not just to provide financially, but to be a source of godly counsel and encouragement. Help Your child to honor them in all things, trusting that You, O Lord, are their ultimate Provider. Remove any fear, doubt, or hesitation from their parents’ hearts, and let Your peace rule in their family.
Father, if this business is not the path You have for them, we ask that You redirect their steps toward the work You have prepared in advance for them to do (Ephesians 2:10). Open their eyes to opportunities they may not yet see, and grant them the patience to wait on Your perfect timing.
We rebuke any spirit of impatience, greed, or worldly ambition that may try to creep in. Let this endeavor be rooted in faith, stewardship, and a desire to serve others as unto You. Bless the work of their hands, Lord, and let it be a testimony of Your goodness.
Finally, we thank You for the salvation that comes through Your Son, Jesus Christ. It is in His mighty name we pray, knowing that apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your child walk in the confidence that You are with them every step of the way.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
