Concerning your health, I want you to know that I do believe God heals. He heals in many ways. Sometimes He heals in a moment in a way that can only be called miraculous, and sometimes He heals gradually through the processes He Himself built into our bodies. That gradual healing is no less from Him, because He is the one who created nature and the ways our bodies mend. There are also times when healing touches the mind and emotions, bringing peace and restoration inside even while the body is still struggling, and that too is His gracious work. At the same time Scripture shows us that God does not choose to heal every condition in this life in the way we ask. The apostle Paul prayed three times about his thorn in the flesh and the Lord did not remove it, and Paul gave his close companion Timothy practical counsel for his frequent stomach troubles rather than a promise of instant healing. I have seen wonderful healings, I have seen slow recoveries, and I have also seen believers who were not healed in this life and went to be with the Lord. So we can pray with confidence for your skin and ask the Lord for healing, while also trusting His wisdom about how and when He answers. It is wise and right to use the means He has provided, including seeing a doctor about your moles and following sound medical advice, and to thank Him for any healing He brings whether quickly or over time.
Concerning your laptop, the air conditioning, and the delivery you are waiting for, I understand how these practical things affect your daily peace and work. Scripture teaches that a life with God and contentment is itself great riches. Other riches and possessions are uncertain. We can gain them quickly and lose them just as quickly, and they cannot redeem or secure our souls. We are warned not to set our hope on them or to become proud because of them, but to trust the living God who richly gives us all things to enjoy. He loves for His children to trust Him and to find their joy in abiding in Christ, which is where fullness of joy is found. That does not mean these needs do not matter to Him, but it does mean our peace is not to rest on whether a device works, whether comfort is restored, or whether a package arrives on time. Real trust is learned when we do not understand what God is doing, yet we still say, Lord, I know you are at work, keep working and have mercy. Even your physical well being is connected to the health of your soul. Scripture says a joyful heart is good like medicine, and we are learning more and more how closely our inner peace and our outward health are linked.
So my prayer for you is that God would give you wisdom and provision for each of these matters according to His perfect will, that He would bring healing to your body as He sees best, that He would provide for your practical needs and help you with what you can reasonably do to repair what is broken and to follow up on what you are waiting for, and most of all that He would strengthen your trust in Jesus Christ. May He fill you with His peace and contentment as you lean on Him, and may you know His love and grace as you simply believe and trust Him to care for you. In Jesus name, amen.
