My ### needs prayers

Thank you for bringing these burdens forward so we can pray together. Grief over the death of a brother is a deep and heavy sorrow, and it is understandable how loss can leave a person feeling beaten down emotionally and spiritually, even to the point of stepping away from fellowship.

We will pray for this man, that God will meet him in his grief with the compassion of Jesus, who looks with tenderness on those weighed down by guilt and sorrow and says your sin is forgiven. That forgiveness lifts the burden in a way nothing else can. We will also pray that he will hear again the call Jesus gave to His churches to repent and return, to examine his own heart honestly before the Lord. Scripture encourages us to judge ourselves so that we will not be judged, to ask whether our lives are truly centered on God. This is not a call given in harshness, but in love, inviting change and restoration.

We will pray for his marriage as well. God designed marriage as two becoming one, a lifelong covenant, and He is able to bring healing and unity where there is strain. We will ask the Lord to work in both husband and wife, to soften hearts, to foster repentance and forgiveness, and to help them seek Him together.

It is also a comfort to remember what Jesus taught about the resurrection. He affirmed from the books of Moses that the dead will rise, and that those who are in Christ have hope beyond the grave. That hope does not remove the pain of loss, but it anchors us in the promise that death is not the end for those who belong to Him.

We will pray too that this brother will be drawn back to fellowship. The foundation of the church is not a building or a man, but Jesus Christ Himself, the great rock upon which His church is built. From the beginning believers gathered together, even in homes, to pray earnestly when Peter was in prison, and God heard and answered. There is strength and healing as we gather to pray and to be encouraged in the Word, and we will ask God to rekindle in him a desire for that fellowship and to guard him from a critical or discouraged spirit that can so easily take root in times of hurt.

For the young man you mentioned who creates videos and struggles with anger, we will pray that God will give him self control and a transformed heart. Anger often grows when we allow a little leaven to remain unaddressed, and it can permeate the whole life. We will pray that he will honestly examine himself before God, confess his need, and receive the forgiveness and power of the Holy Spirit, who was poured out to form and empower the church and to produce new life in each believer. We will ask that God will help him turn from anger to gentleness and that his life and words would reflect Christ rather than the flesh.

We join you in asking God to save, to forgive, to heal, and to restore, for His glory and for the good of each of these men.
