We hear your heartache and desperation, and we lift your family up in prayer before the throne of grace. This is a deeply painful situation, and we stand with you in seeking God’s provision and mercy. The Lord sees your mother’s struggle as a single parent caring for your brother with autism, and He promises in His Word to be a father to the fatherless and a defender of widows and those in need (Psalm 68:5-6).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or find salvation (Acts 4:12). Lord, You are our Provider, and we ask that You open the doors of a safe and stable home for this precious mother and her children. You know their needs before they even ask, and You have promised that if we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things, including shelter, will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). We declare that Your hand is not too short to save, nor Your ear too dull to hear (Isaiah 59:1). Provide a place where they can thrive, where your brother can receive the care he needs, and where your mother can find rest and strength.
We also pray for wisdom and favor as she navigates this transition. May she encounter people who will show her kindness, mercy, and practical help. Lord, surround her with a community of believers who can come alongside her in this time of need. Give her the courage to trust in You, even when the path ahead seems uncertain. Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We must also address the pain of betrayal and injustice in this situation. It is not right for family to turn their backs on one another in a time of need, and we rebuke any spirit of division or hardness of heart that has led to this moment. Proverbs 31:8-9 tells us to "speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak out and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." Lord, we ask that You soften hearts and bring repentance where it is needed. Let Your justice and mercy prevail in this family, and may Your love break through any walls of bitterness or resentment.
To you who have shared this request, we encourage you to hold fast to hope. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God has plans for us, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give us a future and a hope. Even in this storm, God is working. Lean on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). If you have not already, consider reaching out to your local church or Christian organizations that may have resources to help your mother find housing. God often works through His people to meet the needs of His children.
We also want to gently remind you that our ultimate hope is found in Jesus Christ. If you or your family have not placed your trust in Him, we urge you to consider the gift of salvation He offers. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and in Him, we find peace, purpose, and eternal security. If you have questions about what it means to follow Christ, we would love to share more with you.
Heavenly Father, we lift this family up to You now. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Give them strength for each day, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. We declare that this is not the end of their story, You are writing a new chapter, and we trust You to lead them into a place of safety, provision, and blessing. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
