We also want to gently remind you that while we can claim God’s promises in faith, we must surrender our desires to His will. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). This means we trust God’s plan for your children’s lives, even when it doesn’t look like what we envision. Their freedom may not always mean the absence of struggles, but it will always mean the presence of God’s peace and provision in the midst of them.
Now, let us pray together in faith and humility:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names. We thank You for the power of the blood of Jesus, which was shed for our healing, freedom, and redemption. Lord, we lift up ’s children to You. We ask that You would touch them with Your healing hand, whether in body, mind, or spirit. Break every chain of bondage, fear, or limitation that may be holding them back. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, peace for you, and for your mother, and for your three offspring. What a cry you bring, that they be healed and free! And it is a cry that touches the very heart of the Gospel, for in Christ there is pardon for the guilty, healing for the sick, and liberty for the bound. The precious blood of the Lamb has power not only to cleanse from sin but to break every chain, to restore the years the locust has eaten, and to set the soul at ease though wars arise within and terrors without. When our mind is stayed on Him, He keeps us in perfect peace, a double peace, a peace that passes understanding. Are not the very leaves of that Tree of Life for the healing of the nations? Then how much more its fruit! If the least things about Christ are charged with healing virtue, then His blood, His cross, His resurrection, these must be a sovereign balm for every wound. It is not a partial healing He gives, but full and free. As He said to the man sick of the palsy, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you,” so He speaks pardon and healing in one breath.
You plead for freedom for your offspring, freedom to live without worry, to dwell wherever they will in this wide world. That freedom is found first in the soul’s release from guilt and fear. When the Son makes you free, you are free indeed, and no outward cage can imprison the spirit that rests in Jesus. You have spoken of freedom and healing as if you yourself command it, as if the mere declaration ends all concern. But let us not vainly deceive ourselves. If there is no account to be given of our deeds, neither shall we receive rewards for our labors. You say your offspring are healed, free to live anywhere without worry, time on their side, and then you seal it with the blood of Jesus. Yet what is this blood if not the price of a freedom that leads to holiness, not a charm to banish all earthly care? We are bought with a price; therefore we are not our own. True freedom is not the removal of every burden but liberation from sin, that we might serve the living God. You speak as one who has already attained, but remember the virgins shut out who thought themselves ready yet entered in no more. Let no one treat the threats of God as fables or mirth.
I do not say these things to crush you but to awaken you, for perhaps having heard many times and remained insensible, you may yet at this one word be converted. The freedom that matters is not to dwell where you please in this passing world, but to dwell in Christ. That cannot be demanded as a right; it is received by a humble and contrite heart. The publican who would not lift his eyes went down justified, while the one who declared his own standing was condemned.
