I'm not going to be on here for awhile. My father called this morning to tell me that my mother passed away early this morning. She was in excellent health, 65 years old, had just had a knee operation and died from a bloodclot. I ask for your prayers for my family, especially my father. They married young, and had just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary two months ago. They had been married since he was 17 years old. He had spent nearly his entire life with her, and it will be very difficult for him to bear, but with the strength of Christ, he will go on. I appreciate your prayers, but I won't be online here for at least a week. Take care, and may God bless your life, like He did when He gave me such a precious mother.

Whether your loved one is taken away in an instant (my dad died abruptly of an aneurysm at 65) or you have three years to prepare for it as we did with my mom's cancer, the truth is as human, mortal beings we are never ready to lose anyone we love, least of all a parent. I pray God's abudant peace and comfort with your family, may He surround you and keep you in His loving care. When they are hurting, help them to find their joy in You, for it is Your joy that will be their strength. I lift Harold and his family up to your Holy throne of love and compassion for healing. Lord Jesus, thank you for the life of Harold's mother. Thank you for the love she showed Harold - It mirrored the love You have for all of us. Lord Jesus, we are never prepared for a loved one's death, especially when that death is unexpected. Please be with the entire family in their grief and sorrow. Comfort Harold's father, Lord Jesus, as only You can. Please heal his broken heart with the comfort of your presence.

I praise you that Harold was baptized before the death of his mother. This must have been a source of great joy for her.
