My mother - hospital, stroke, treatement

Natasha 2

Beloved of All
Please ptay that my mother will be totaly healed. She had a stroke couple days ago. She has first late phase Alzheimer, diabetes, depression, no gall bladder, gastric diet, but she could walk almost normaly, even with a faster pace. Now she cannot. But i have a big problem. They give her tranquilizers because she is active at night and talks (maybe awake maybe in her sleep). She had not done this earlier. I ask myself - if they give her strong tranquilizers so that she is sleeping when we come and cannot wake uo, how can they know if she can walk again, if they bind her hand on a bed, or only give her tranquilizers ..LORD PLEASE PROTECT HER FROM THE DEVIL AND HIS PLANS, DONT LET ANYONE TO GIVE HER WHAT IS NOT HEALTHY FOR HER OR DO TO HER WHAT IS NOT GOOD TO HER. They gave her a tube for urine because it is more convinient to them then to change dipers and she had red urine and they removed it and now she must drink antibiotics because of the inflammation in her body. And they say that inglammation can be from a stroke. How convinient for them!! Lord please remove any devil and any evil plans for my mom!! Lord please dont allow it for me to loose my mother in the way i lost my father ### year ago! Neglect and stubborness of medical.stuff!!!

We join you in lifting up your precious mother before the throne of grace and we share your deep love and concern for her. Watching a parent suffer after a stroke, especially when she already carries the burdens of late phase Alzheimer, diabetes, depression and other afflictions, is heart wrenching, and we understand your fear because of how you lost your father. We hear your cry for her to be totally healed and for her to be protected from any harm, neglect, or treatment that is not good for her.

We take comfort that the Lord is our healer and our protector. We cling to his promises together with you, for he says, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17 and Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness Psalm 41:3. We also claim his promise of protection over her life, No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17 and For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11. We thank God that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we are saved and by which our prayers are heard.

We also want to gently encourage you in this difficult walk with the medical staff. Your vigilance is an act of honoring your mother as God commands, Honor your father and your mother Exodus 20:12. God gives wisdom when we ask, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We encourage you to continue to advocate for her with both grace and firmness. It is right to ask calm and clear questions, to ask why tranquilizers or restraints are being used, what the alternatives are for her nighttime restlessness, how they will assess her ability to walk again if she is sedated, and why the catheter was placed and how the urinary inflammation is being treated. Keep a written record of what you are told, ask for the care plan to be explained, and if possible have family present at different times and seek a second opinion when you are uncertain. Let your speech be seasoned with grace Colossians 4:6 even while you firmly seek what is best for her, so that the doctors and nurses may show her favor, for you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield Psalm 5:12.

We understand your distress about the tranquilizers, the binding of her hand, and the catheter that led to red urine and the need for antibiotics. Those are concerns to bring directly and persistently to the attending physician, asking for the least restrictive and least sedating options that still keep her safe, and for regular re evaluation of her mobility and mental state. Inflammation after a stroke and after catheter use does occur, but you are right to ask for clarity and for treatment that truly heals and does not merely make care more convenient.

We pray together now for your mother and for you.

Father in heaven, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We lift up this dear mother to you. You know her body, her age, her frailties, and you know every detail of her stroke, her Alzheimer, her diabetes and her pain. Lord, lay your healing hand upon her. Restore what the stroke has taken, calm the inflammation in her body, heal the urinary infection, and protect her brain and body from further harm. We ask that you guide the hands and minds of every doctor and nurse who cares for her, give them wisdom, compassion and diligence, and grant her favor and attentive, respectful care. We ask that no harmful medication or procedure be given to her, and that any plan of the enemy against her life be broken and rendered powerless in Jesus name. Let her be guarded day and night by your angels. Give her family peace that surpasses understanding, as you promise, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Strengthen this child who loves her mother so deeply, remove the spirit of fear, and fill them with trust in your sovereign goodness, knowing that whether you bring total healing on this side of eternity or sustain her through ongoing weakness, you are faithful and you love her even more than we do. We ask for royal favor and protection over her, for restoration of her ability to walk if it is your will, and above all for your perfect will to be done in her life. We pray all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our healer and our hope, amen.

We have been holding you and your mother in prayer since your message came. Watching someone you love be so vulnerable after a stroke, especially when she already lives with Alzheimer's, diabetes and other health burdens, is heart wrenching. And after the loss of your father, we understand why you are on alert for any sign of neglect and longing for her to receive attentive, dignified care.

One thing that has helped many families in the hospital is having a calm, consistent advocate at the bedside. If it is possible, it can help to have one family member be the main contact who keeps brief notes of what you observe, what staff share, and what questions you still have. You might ask the charge nurse for a short care meeting with her doctor and nurse to kindly ask about the plan for nighttime restlessness, the use of sedation and restraints, the urinary infection and antibiotics, and when they can safely assess her ability to move and walk again. Most hospitals also have a patient advocate or social worker who can listen and help coordinate communication. Staying respectful and steady in those conversations often opens more doors than urgency alone, though your concern is completely understandable.

We are praying for you as you carry this.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this dear mother to You. Protect her body and mind, guide the hands and decisions of those caring for her, and give her family wisdom, peace and favor in every conversation. Comfort this child who loves her so deeply and guard their hearts with Your presence. Amen.

Your earnest cry concerning your dear mother has been heard with deep sympathy and has been carried at once to the throne of grace. We grieve with you in this heavy trial, the stroke so sudden, the infirmities that already weighed upon her, and now this distressing change which keeps her from walking and holds you in anxious watching. And we understand the fresh sorrow that stirs in you, lest you should lose your mother as you lost your father, through neglect or hardness on the part of those who should have cared most tenderly.

We will pray for her and for you, that the Lord who is the great Physician would lay His healing hand upon her. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when He draws near to His people they have no need to say, I am sick, for pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed by the same blessed hand. We will ask the Lord, if it be His gracious will, to restore her, to lift the cloud from her mind, to calm her restlessness by His own peace rather than by any harmful draught, to cleanse the inflammation from her body, to give back strength to her limbs that she may walk again, and to keep her from all that would injure her.

We will also pray that the Lord will give wisdom and compassion to those who have charge of her in the hospital. We will entreat Him to move the hearts of physicians and nurses to watch over her with diligence and tenderness, to give only what is needful and wholesome, to withhold what would do harm, and to deal faithfully and kindly in every treatment. And we will pray that He who is able to make all grace abound will guard her body and her spirit from the assaults of the evil one, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

For yourself, dear soul, hear the word which the Lord speaks so often to His tried children, Fear not. Fear not is a plant which grows very plentifully in God's garden. Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. Fear not, I will help you. Fear not, you worm Jacob. It is not merely the preacher who cries, Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers it to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet. We must labor to get rid, as much as possible, of fear, for fear is weakening and fear dishonors God, as though the arm which piled the heavens could ever be palsied. Your fear has torment, but perfect love casts it out. Carry your fear to Christ and leave it there.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, but let us also remember the soul's great need. The same Lord who heals the body forgives sin, and He often joins the two together, saying, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and then bidding the palsied man arise and walk. If your mother knows the Lord, she is safe in His covenant, and whether He restores her here or takes her home, she shall behold His face in freshness like a newborn child, made whole by those healing leaves. If she does not yet know Him, plead with the Lord for her soul above all, that she may receive pardon through the precious blood of Christ, for that is the healing which endures forever. And for your own heart, seek that same pardon and that same fear of the Lord which is holy reverence and love, for the Lord has promised, I will put My fear in their heart and they shall not depart from Me.

Therefore let us pray together. O Lord our God, Father of mercies, look in compassion upon this afflicted mother. Thou knowest her frame, her years, her sicknesses, and this stroke which has laid her low. Lay Thy hand upon her and heal her according to Thy perfect will. Purge her body of infection, keep her from all harmful treatment, give skill and kindness to those who tend her, and grant her sleep and wakefulness in their season. Raise her up again if it please Thee, and at all times keep her in Thy tender care. Comfort this grieving child who watches and waits. Take away tormenting fear, give trust in Thy promised strength, and let Thy presence be felt in that hospital room. Forgive us our sins for Christ's sake, heal our broken hearts, and make us to hear Thy voice saying, Fear not. We ask all in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, in whom alone is salvation and healing. Amen.
