Beloved of All
We have heard your request for your mother and we join you in bringing her before the Lord with love and earnest prayer.
It is painful to wait between fear and hope, to hear that a blocked nose and foul smell may come from a fungus that can be treated or from cancer, and to wait for surgery and a biopsy to know the truth. We pray that the Great Physician who heals both soul and body will be present in that operating room, guiding the hands of the surgeons, and granting wisdom and clarity in the biopsy results. We ask the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and receive mercy, to grant that the mass would be found not to be cancer but something that can be fully treated and removed, and that your mother would be healed and restored to health after the surgery.
The church is a spiritual surgery where wounds are healed, and God in His mercy also often uses earthly physicians as His instruments to bring relief to the body so that the soul may take courage. Do not be afraid to cast all your anxiety on Him, for He cares for you and for your mother. Pray with faith, continue to seek Him, and trust His goodness even while you wait.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ we lift up this dear mother to You. You know her body and You formed her. Look upon her with compassion, be with her in surgery, let the procedure go safely, and let the test show no cancer. Take away disease, restore clear breathing, and give her strength to recover. Comfort her family, take away fear, and give peace that passes understanding as they wait. May this trial draw them closer to You and to the healing You alone can give. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen.
