We hear the deep pain and tears in your request and we join with you in bringing your marriage and your family before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name. Your desire for a stronger love and bond in your marriage that is blessed and lifelong is the very heart of God for marriage, for He created marriage to be a covenant between a man and a woman for life. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate, Matthew 19:6. We are grieved with you over the heartbreak and shame you have felt, and we stand with you in prayer that your husband would be faithful and would love you as God commands.

We want to gently remind you that your honor and worth are not ultimately found in your husband's eyes, though we pray he will cherish and honor you, but your true worth is found in Christ who sees every tear you have shed. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18, and He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes, Revelation 21:4. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. You are not helpless or forsaken, for God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding, Proverbs 3:5.

We must also speak plainly about what you have endured, because God calls adultery sin and it wounds the marriage covenant deeply. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers, Hebrews 13:4. Jesus taught that even looking with lust is adultery in the heart, everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, Matthew 5:28. This is why your prayer that your husband would not sin even in thought is so biblical and right. For this sin there must be true repentance and turning away, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. We pray that your husband would have such repentance and that God would give him a new heart and put a new spirit within him, Ezekiel 36:26, and transform him by the renewing of his mind, Romans 12:2.

God's design is for a husband to love his wife even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it, Ephesians 5:25, and for wives to be honored and cherished. We pray that your inward beauty and gentle and quiet spirit would be precious in the sight of God and also be seen and valued by your husband, 1 Peter 3:4. We also encourage you while you pray for God to change his heart, to seek godly counsel together, to stay rooted in the Word, to pray together if he is willing, and to invite a trusted pastor or mature believing couple to walk with you both toward healing and accountability, for marriage is to reflect Christ and the church.

We now pray together for you, your husband, and your children.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, lifting up this dear wife and mother and her marriage. Lord, You see every tear she has cried and You know the shame and heartbreak she has carried. We ask You to have mercy on her and to wipe away her tears and lift her shame and honor her before You and before others. Lord, we ask You to strengthen this marriage and make its love and bond strong and blessed forever according to Your will. Put a hedge of protection around this husband, that he would not commit adultery again in action or even in thought, and convict his heart deeply of any sin and lead him to true repentance and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. Transform him, Lord, give him a new heart that loves You first and then loves his wife faithfully and purely every day, as Christ loves the church. Cause him to love his wife only and to honor her and to be faithful to his vows. Heal this family, Lord, guard the hearts of these children, and let this home be filled with peace, forgiveness, faithfulness, and love that endures. Help this wife to rest in Your love and to trust not in man alone but in You who never fails, and give her strength and hope for each day. We ask You to restore what has been broken and to make this marriage a testimony of Your redeeming grace. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We hear the ache in your words and how much you want your marriage to be safe and faithful. Feeling helpless and ashamed while trying to hold your family together with tears is an exhausting place to be, and we want you to know we are standing with you in prayer.

You asked God to guard your husband's heart and to honor you in your marriage and family. We join you in asking Him for faithfulness, healing and wisdom for each step ahead. When trust has been wounded, restoration is rarely quick. It often takes time, honest conversation and steady support around you both.

One small step that often helps is not walking through this alone. If you have a trusted pastor or a mature believing woman you respect, consider inviting her to pray with you regularly and to be a safe person to talk with as you seek next steps. If you belong to a local church, letting one leader know how heavy things feel can also open the door for care for you and your children.

Father, we lift this wife, her husband and their children to You. You see her tears and her love for her family. Bring comfort where there is heartbreak, guard their home from further harm, and give both husband and wife soft hearts toward You and toward each other. Give her strength for each day and wise help around her. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your cry has come before the Lord as one with a broken heart, and He who heals the broken in heart has seen your tears and heard your plea for mercy. You feel helpless and ashamed and unable to bear this heartbreak any longer, and it is right that you should cast yourself wholly upon Him who alone can change the heart and wipe away tears.

Know this, that though the faithfulness of man may fail, the faithfulness of Jesus fails never. He loves His own to the end. Their sinfulness cannot travel so far but what His love will travel beyond it, and their unfaithfulness shall not be so great but what His faithfulness shall still be wider and broader. It is impossible that Jesus should leave a soul that hangs upon Him. When you have no strength left, hang upon Him still, for He is faithful when all others prove unfaithful.

You do well to call adultery what it is, for it is an awful thing to commit such sin in the sight of God. Will a rebel talk treason in the presence of his king, yet the adulterer sins before the very eyes of the Holy One. This is not a light wound, and therefore you need a great Physician. The good news is that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction in Christ. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing to the soul. He can change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

There is hope also for restoration. Peter fell grievously, and denied his Lord, yet by a look from the Lord his heart was broken and then graciously restored. The same Lord who turned His eyes upon Peter can turn His eyes upon your husband and bring him to repentance, and can turn His eyes upon you to assure you that you are not forsaken. God can give abundant assurance of restoration to those who have wandered into sin, that they may be turned again and stand fast.

Let us pray together for you and your household.

O Lord God, who hast ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, honourable in all, have mercy upon this wounded sister and upon her children. Thou knowest her sorrow and her shame, and Thou art He who bindeth up the brokenhearted. Look upon her in compassion and lift up her head, and honour her before Thee and before others as one who seeks Thy face with tears. Keep her husband from the sin of adultery, whether in deed or even in thought, and grant him a new heart that he may turn from every evil way. Work in him true repentance and a steadfast love for his wife, that he may love her only and cleave to her as Thou hast commanded. Make this marriage strong and blessed, rooted in Thy faithful love, and let not this family be left desolate. Let Thy healing leaves be applied to this home, that pardon and healing may come together, and that what has been broken may be perfectly restored by Thy grace. Keep these little ones under Thy wing, and let this wife find her best honour not first in the eyes of man, but in being beloved of Christ, who will never leave nor forsake her. Hear this prayer for Jesus sake, who is faithful to the end. Amen.

Abide near the Lord in prayer and in His Word, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Seek His face daily, and trust that the Sun of Righteousness who has risen with healing in His wings will in His own time and way bring health and cure to your house.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your tears and your pleading for your marriage and your children have been heard with deep compassion. You have come in helplessness and shame asking for mercy, and the Lord sees your sorrow and does not despise a broken and humble heart.

God established marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, bound as long as both shall live. Within that covenant husband and wife belong to one another and owe one another honor and faithfulness. Adultery, whether in act or even in thought, is not only a wound against the spouse and the family but a sin against God Himself, and He calls all to flee from it and to walk in purity. For this reason we cannot ask God to bless unfaithfulness, but we do ask Him to strengthen what He Himself has joined together and to make it holy.

We join you in prayer that the Lord, who alone saves through Jesus Christ, would have mercy on your family. We pray that He would transform your husband's heart, turn him away from every temptation to adultery in thought or deed, and teach him to love you faithfully and to honor you as his wife. We pray that He would make your marriage stronger, that your bond of love would be renewed and guarded, that you would be honored in your home and before others, and that your children would be kept secure in a home marked by peace and fidelity. We pray that He would wipe away your tears, lift your shame, and give you strength to continue in faith and prayer when you feel you can bear no more.

Continue to seek Christ Himself, for only He can change the heart and give new life. Commit your marriage into His hands, ask Him to be present in your home, remain faithful to your covenant, pray with and for your husband, and trust the Lord to work according to His perfect will as you walk in obedience to Him. He is faithful and He hears those who call upon Him through His Son.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ have mercy on this wife and mother. Look upon her sorrow, comfort her heart, and guard her family. Grant her husband a new heart that loves you and loves his wife alone, that he may forsake every form of adultery and live in faithfulness. Bless this marriage to be strong and enduring, for your glory and for the good of these children. Let your grace and truth reign in this home. Amen.
