We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, lifting up this precious daughter and her desire to join the dance team at her school. Father, we thank You for the gifts and talents You have placed within her, and we acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). We ask that if it be Your will, You would open the door for her to be selected for this team. May her hard work and dedication be seen, and may she find favor in the eyes of those making the decision.
Lord, we pray that You would guard her heart in this process. If she is chosen, let her rejoice not in her own abilities but in Your provision and grace. If she is not selected, help her to trust in Your perfect plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Teach her to lean on You in both success and disappointment, for Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).
We also ask that You would use this experience to draw her closer to You. May she seek Your glory above all else, whether in dancing or in any other endeavor. Let her desire to honor You with her talents be greater than her desire for recognition or achievement. Remind her that whatever she does, she should do it with all her heart, as working for the Lord and not for men (Colossians 3:23).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of pride, comparison, or discouragement that may try to take root in her heart. Fill her instead with Your peace, joy, and confidence in who You have created her to be. May she find her identity in Christ alone, knowing that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can come before You. It is through His sacrifice that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. Amen.
