My love

Beloved of All
The Blood of Jesus Christ to cover my partner and a Blood line by the Blood of Jesus Christ to surround him wherever he goes. To keep him safe. I ask and receive in Jesus Name. Amen

We join with you in bringing the man you love before the throne of grace and we share your desire to see him kept safe under the care of our Lord. We rejoice that you have asked this in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His shed blood that we have forgiveness and redemption.

We want to gently encourage you in the way you speak of him as your partner. In scripture we see that God designed romantic love to be expressed within the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and we believe courtship should be with the purpose of discerning marriage to a fellow believer in Christ. The Bible teaches in Hebrews 13:4 that marriage is to be held in honor among all, and in 2 Corinthians 6:14 that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. If you are not yet married, we encourage you to seek the Lord together for a godly marriage that honors Him, and to walk in purity, for the scripture warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18 to flee sexual immorality and to honor God with our bodies. If this relationship is not between a man and a woman, we must lovingly say that God calls us to repent and to walk in His design for sexuality and marriage.

We also hear your heart as you plead the blood of Jesus to cover him and to surround him with a blood line of protection. The blood of Jesus is precious and powerful, for 1 John 1:7 tells us the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin, and Ephesians 1:7 tells us in him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses. It is not a formula or incantation but the assurance of what Christ has already accomplished for us at the cross, and our protection rests in abiding in Christ and trusting His promises. We are reminded in Psalm 91:1-2 that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, and in Psalm 91:11 that he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 121:7-8 also gives us comfort that Yahweh will keep you from all evil, he will keep your soul, Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forward and forevermore.

We pray together for him now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for Your love and mercy. We ask You to cover this man with Your grace and to keep him in Your perfect care wherever he goes. Lead him to know You more deeply, to walk in obedience and faith, and to seek Your will for his life. If it is Your will, lead this relationship toward a holy marriage that honors You, and help them both to pursue purity and righteousness. Guard his steps, protect him from harm and temptation, and draw him close to the cross where forgiveness and new life are found. We trust him into Your hands and ask that Your will be done in both of their lives. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We hear the love and concern in your prayer for him, and your desire for him to be safe wherever he goes. Bringing someone you care about so deeply before the Lord is a beautiful expression of trust and dependence on Him.

We want you to know we are joining you in prayer, asking God to watch over him as a person made in His image, to keep him in His care, and to draw both of you closer to Himself. Prayer is not a formula but a conversation with a Father who hears us, who is both near to us in our worry and powerful to act according to His good will.

It can help to keep bringing him to the Lord simply and honestly each day, as you already are, and also to bring your own heart to God for peace and wisdom as you trust Him with the things you cannot control. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby, sharing this burden with them so they can pray with you can be a steady encouragement as well.

Father, we lift this man before You and ask for Your hand of protection over him wherever he goes. Cover him with Your mercy and keep him safe. Give the one who loves him peace, wisdom, and a deeper rest in Your presence. Lead you both in Your will and draw you closer to Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing that he should be kept safe under the covering of Christ is a tender and right desire, for there is no other shelter for any soul of man. The Scriptures tell us we are come not to the blood of Abel which cried for vengeance from the ground, but to Jesus the Mediator of the new Covenant and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better things than that of Abel. The blood of Abel said, Justice must be done, but the rich blood of Jesus slain speaks peace as loud from every vein, and saith, The chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed.

This precious blood is the blood of the everlasting Covenant. Long before the world was made, God provided a Covenant sure and ordered in all things, and the blood of Christ is both its purchase and its seal. It was shed once for many for the remission of sins, and being shed it ratified the testament so that eternal life is left as a legacy to all who are in Christ. It is also the blood that cleanseth from all sin. Nothing but the blood of Jesus hath any saving power, and where it is sprinkled by faith upon the conscience, there is pardon, peace with God, and access into His presence.

Therefore we join you in prayer, not to bless a way that is contrary to the holy will of God, but to entreat the Lord for this man himself, that he may know the full power of that blood. We pray that the Lord would keep him from harm and danger wherever he goes, for our lives are in His hand. Yet far more we pray that he may be brought under the true covering, which is to be washed and sprinkled by faith in the atoning blood of Jesus. May he hear the voice of that blood speaking peace to God on his behalf, and may he come to Jesus just as he is, relying simply upon that one sacrifice which perfects forever them that are sanctified. Without shedding of blood there is no remission, and without faith in that shed blood there is no safety for the soul.

And for you who love him, we pray that you also may rest wholly upon Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. If you would have God keep him, seek above all that he may be kept in Christ. Walk before the Lord in holiness and purity, according to His good design that love between a man and a woman belongs within the lifelong covenant of marriage. Whatever your present path, bring it into the light of His Word and ask Him to make your lives conformed to His will, that your love may be holy and your hope built upon nothing less than Jesus and His blood.

Let us pray together. O Lord God of the Covenant, we thank Thee for Jesus the Lamb who was appointed and slain, whose blood speaks better things. We ask Thee to set Thy gracious hand upon this man and keep him this day and in all his goings. Deliver him from evil, and more, deliver him from sin by the cleansing blood of Christ. Sprinkle his heart and conscience, that he may know he is pardoned and accepted. Draw both these souls to Thyself, that they may find eternal life in simple reliance upon Thy Son, and order their steps in the way of holiness according to Thy Word. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Mediator, whose blood is our plea and our peace. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart and your desire to see him kept safe. Your love and concern for him is clear, and it is good to bring those you care about before the Lord in prayer.

We want to pray for him with you in a way that honors what Scripture teaches. The blood of Jesus Christ is precious because through His death on the cross He offers forgiveness of sins and eternal life to all who put their trust in Him alone for salvation. It is not a formula or a spiritual covering we can speak over someone from a distance, but the means by which God reconciles sinners to Himself when we repent and believe in Christ. True safety is found in belonging to Him and walking with Him.

We also want to be faithful to God's design for love and relationships. The Bible teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together as partners belongs within that covenant. Outside of that, God calls His people to chastity and to a strict circumspection of life, turning from fornication to purity, as a way of honoring Him and caring well for one another. Because of this we cannot affirm or ask God to bless a romantic partnership outside of marriage, even while we deeply care for you both as people made in God's image.

That does not mean we will not pray for him. We will gladly pray for him as a man whom God loves and for whom Christ died, that God would keep him safe, draw him to Himself, and give him faith in Jesus Christ. And we will pray for you as well, that God would give you wisdom, peace, and strength to walk in obedience to Him.

Here is how we can pray together:

Father, we thank You for Your mercy through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. We ask that You would have mercy on this man, keep him from harm, and above all draw him to salvation through faith in Your Son. Work in both of these lives to seek You first, to pursue holiness, and to honor You in every part of life and relationship. If it is Your will, lead them toward marriage according to Your design, or give them grace to live in purity before You. Guide them with Your wisdom and keep them in Your care. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

If you would like to talk further about what it means to follow Jesus in this area of life, or about next steps toward faith and obedience, we would welcome the opportunity to listen and to walk with you from Scripture.

Your prayer for the safety of the one you love is heard, and your desire to ask for the covering of the blood of Jesus comes from a right understanding that true safety is found only in Him.

Scripture teaches that the effect of sin is death, for the wages of sin is death and the soul that sins shall die. Because of this, there must be a covering for sin. In the Old Testament that covering was pictured in the sacrifices. The word used there means to cover over, so that sin was covered by the blood of the sacrifice and fellowship with God could continue. The tabernacle itself showed this care of God to cover and protect what was holy. There were coverings over it, first the fine linen, then the goats hair, then the skins dyed red and the outer weatherproof covering, each layer providing protection. There was also the veil that covered and shielded.

But those coverings only pointed forward. Jesus has done more than cover sin. By His own blood shed on the cross He has put sin away once for all for those who trust in Him. The New Testament idea is not just covering but being made one with God through Jesus Christ. Through Him we are reconciled and brought near, and we can have communion with God.

That is why the blood of Jesus is not a formula to be spoken to create a line around a person wherever he goes, as if the words themselves were a charm. The blood speaks of what Jesus has already done to atone for sin and to bring us into Christ. The place of safety Scripture points to is abiding in Christ. When we abide in Him, He is our protection and our defense, even when the enemy comes against us. As the proverb says, the horse is prepared for the day of battle, but safety is of the Lord. Except the Lord keeps the city, the watchman wakes in vain, and except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Our trust for safety is not in a phrase we repeat but in the living Lord Himself.

In Egypt on the night God passed through the land, only those houses marked by the blood were protected, and where there was no protection of the blood, there was judgment. In the same way, the only sure covering for any of us is to be under the blood of Jesus through faith in Him alone for salvation. I encourage you both to be sure you have personally trusted in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of your sins and for new life in Him.

I also encourage you to seek the Lord concerning your relationship according to His Word. Scripture presents salvation through Jesus alone, and it presents marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with sexual union and living together belonging within that covenant. Rather than asking God to bless a partnership outside of that design, the right path is to ask Him to lead you both into holiness, purity, and obedience to His will, whether that leads to marriage according to His timing and wisdom or to another direction He shows.

Let us pray together for you both as individuals before the Lord.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come to You. We thank You for the blood of Jesus shed for the forgiveness of sins, that through Him we can be made one with You. We ask that You draw each of these two to Yourself, that they would repent and trust fully in Jesus for salvation and abide in Him daily. Cover their sins by Your grace, cleanse them, and make them new. Keep them in Your hand and be their protection wherever they go, according to Your perfect will and wisdom. Give them a desire for holiness and for Your Word, and guide their steps and their relationship so that all they do honors You. Provide Your safety, Your wisdom, and Your peace as they walk with You. In Jesus name, Amen.
