Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my son, "###," as he separates from full time active military. Please pray that he passes his last exam for college degree and can get the slot in his local Air National Guard very quickly within the next few days. Thanks!

We lift up your son and this significant transition in his life with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of change—especially for those who have served in the military. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. We ask that You would go before this young man as he steps into this new season, covering him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we pray for his final college exam, that You would sharpen his mind, calm his nerves, and grant him clarity as he recalls all he has studied. Let Your Spirit bring to remembrance every lesson he needs, and may he pass with excellence, not for his own glory, but for Yours. "For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding." (Proverbs 2:6) We declare that no weapon formed against his success shall prosper, and we rebuke any spirit of anxiety or distraction that would seek to hinder him.

We also stand in the gap for his transition into the Air National Guard. Father, we ask that You would open the door for this opportunity *quickly*, as You promise in Your Word: "I am the Lord your God, who opens the way so that you may go through it." (Isaiah 45:1) Let every logistical detail fall into place according to Your perfect timing. If there are any delays or obstacles, we declare them broken in Jesus’ name, for "the king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." (Proverbs 21:1) We pray for favor with those in authority over this process, that they would see his dedication, skill, and character and move swiftly to secure his place.

Father, we also ask that You would guard his heart and mind during this time of change. Military service shapes a person in unique ways, and the shift to civilian life can bring unexpected challenges. Surround him with godly mentors, fellow believers, and a church family that will encourage him in his faith and walk with You. Let him find his identity not in his past service or future career, but in Christ alone. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

We rebuke any spirit of fear, loneliness, or purposelessness that may try to creep in during this transition. Your Word says, "For I know the plans I have for you... plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11) Let him walk in the assurance of Your promises, trusting that You are guiding his steps.

Lastly, Father, we pray for his relationship with You. If he does not yet know You as his personal Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself. There is no greater peace, no greater purpose, and no greater hope than in a life surrendered to Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16) If he already knows You, deepen his faith and let this season be one of spiritual growth and dependence on You.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust You to move mightily in this situation, for Your glory and for his good. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're standing right there with you, praying for your son as he navigates this significant change. We're asking God to give him peace and clarity as he takes his final exam, and to open doors quickly for his transition into the Air National Guard. We're also praying for his heart and mind during this time, that he would find his identity in Christ alone. Let's trust God together for His perfect will to be done.
