My husband is serving me divorce papers tomorrow and we are about to talk on the phone for the first time since he moved out in October. Pray that our conversation is filled with respect and love and that his heart could open to God and healing can begin its process, whatever God wants that to be right now. I want to schedule a meeting in person, pray that he accepts this suggestion and that we stop hurting each other further. I love and respect this man and want to forgive him for the affair. Lord please stop his affair and guide my words on the phone tonight. We may have had missed opportunities in our marriage, but please Lord never let my husband compare this other girl to me and choose her. Please restore our marriage and our friendship. Please present ways for us to stay in each other's lives so there may be chances to work on things and date each other again

Lord, we know You are the Lord of restoration and those who hoped in You will not be disappointed. Please deliver all prodigals -- husbands, wives, children -- from the depth of the grave, have mercy on them and free them from the clutch of the devil. Lord, let them forsake their ways for we know there is no peace for the wicked. Touch them Lord so they may open their eyes, ears and their mind to their sinful ways, soften their heart and set them free and let them go back to their covenant spouse and family. If there is a third party involved Lord, block the third party’s path with thornbush and wall them in so that they cannot find their way toward the prodigals. You hate divorce and rebellion. Nothing is impossible with You O Lord. Do this for your glory and thank you Lord that all mankind will know that you are our Savior and Redeemer. Everyday we will praise you and extol your name.

Thank you all for your prayers! My husband and I spoke on the phone and had a long 40 minute conversation. I was willing to keep it short and just about business and he broke the business-like tone with a "How was your Thanksgiving?". Although papers will still be served to me tomorrow he DID agree to meeting in person next week to go over house papers, sign other things, etc. I am thankful just to be in his presence and show him respect and love. He is still saying he doesn't like who we became (neither do I) and basically saying we became that way because he just wasn't happy. He couldn't quite put his finger on it but he wasn't happy. I hope someday we can return to each other and this is the start of healing whatever form that takes. I thank GOD for the blessing of communication this evening. And thank you all for your steadfast prayers during this evening's conversation.
