Disciple of Prayer
Please please pray for my husband ### that he not get depressed his mind can be peaceful. He can surrender to Lord Jesus Christ all his problems and not listening to lies of the enemy. ### can pay everything to my husband so my husband ### will not worry about financial money

We lift up your husband before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to surround him with His peace that surpasses all understanding. The Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that your husband would cast all his anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for him (1 Peter 5:7).

Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to steal, kill, and destroy your husband’s joy and peace. We stand on Your promise in John 8:32, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." May Your truth be a shield around his mind, and may he find rest in You alone. Help him to surrender every burden, every fear, and every financial worry into Your capable hands. Remind him that You are his Provider, as it is written in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

We also pray for your marriage, that it would be strengthened in this season. May you both lean on each other and on the Lord, trusting in His faithfulness. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." May your husband find comfort and encouragement in your love and support, and may you both find strength in the Lord together.

Lord, if there is any area where your husband has not fully surrendered to You, we ask that You draw him closer. May he find his identity, worth, and purpose in Christ alone. We declare over him the truth of 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." Renew his mind, refresh his spirit, and restore his joy in You.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is by His blood that we are made whole. Amen.

We’re holding your husband close in prayer with you, and we see the love and urgency behind every word you’ve written. It’s heavy to watch someone you care about struggle under a cloud of worry and discouragement, and we’re grateful you reached out.

When depression settles in, the enemy often does what he does best: he whispers lies that feel absolutely true. Thoughts like “this will never get better” or “God isn’t coming through” can loop endlessly, sapping hope. We’ve found that one of the most steadying gifts a spouse can offer is a quiet, consistent presence, listening without needing to fix, praying silently while sitting beside him, gently reminding him with a look or a touch that he’s not alone and that Jesus hasn’t walked away. That simple nearness can sometimes begin to untangle the lies more than words can.

About the financial pressure, we’re asking the Lord to open the right doors for what is owed to come through, and to settle your husband’s heart in the meantime. Worry feeds on uncertainty, so even small, practical steps (like jotting down the facts of what’s actually owed and what’s already in hand) can help separate real burdens from the magnified ones the enemy projects.

Jesus, we come before You for this husband. Still his mind, and push back the shadows that depression brings. When the enemy whispers fear and worthlessness, let Your voice, strong and kind, break through. Draw him to surrender every weight to You, and give him a glimpse of Your faithful provision even in this waiting. Pour peace over this household, and meet their financial needs in ways that point back to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The peace your husband longs for cannot be manufactured by a quieted circumstance or a fuller purse; it is a gift that comes from one source alone, Jesus Christ, who is Himself our peace. There is a strife within every soul until Christ speaks, “Peace, be still,” and the winds of fear and the waves of care obey Him. You plead for your husband’s mind to be peaceful. That peace is found not in wrestling against the lies of the enemy with mere human strength, but in surrendering the whole fight into the hands of the Conqueror. Tell him, then, to cease his anxious striving and to fall into the arms of Christ. To submit to God is to find rest; it is not a passive yielding but a willing, active laying down of every burden at the feet of the One who has measured the depths of misery and borne it all upon the tree.

You speak of financial worry. The hurried mind that is pressed by such cares cannot spin peace out of its own heart. Yet remember: to do the will of Jesus, this is rest. Let your husband be brought to ask not, “How shall this bill be paid?” but “What would my Lord have me do this day?” When the soul is bent upon obedience, the provision of God becomes a matter of trust, not terror. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, a peace that is not built upon the shifting sand of a balanced account, but upon the solid rock of a finished atonement. If he will come to Christ, now, today, just as he is, virtue will flow from the Savior into his soul, healing the disease of despair and the fever of fretfulness. Coming is simple: it is to look away from self and to rest entirely upon the crucified One who died for sinners. None who truly come are ever cast out, and none who keep coming find their hope disappointed.

The enemy will hiss his lies, but the voice of the Good Shepherd speaks louder. Let your husband not give ear to the accuser, but fix his gaze upon the Lamb of God who takes away sin. The very sufferings of Christ prove there is no love of pain in Him, only a love for souls; He descended into the depths that we might be lifted out. You desire that your husband surrender all to the Lord. That surrender begins not with a promise to feel better, but with a simple, childlike reliance upon the Person of Jesus. I have seen gray-headed saints lean upon their staff and declare, “He is my peace,” and I have seen young men fresh from the world find the same calm in a moment of trusting. There is no other way. Pray on, dear soul, and while you pray, urge your husband to come, and to keep coming, to Christ. In that coming, he will find a peace that the world cannot give and cannot take away, and in doing the will of Jesus, he will discover that even in the thickest press of daily cares, there is a quiet, cheerful frame that glorifies God.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cares of this world often press upon the soul like a heavy burden, and the enemy whispers despair, seeking to darken the mind. But remember, the peace which Christ gives is not like the hollow peace of the world, external and fleeting, but a peace that makes us stronger, rooting itself deep within the heart. Call upon the Lord for your husband with a pure heart, without contention, and with unwavering faith. Do not merely speak the words of prayer, but let your whole mind cry out, as though already standing in the presence of God, where our great High Priest ever appears for us, having made propitiation.

Do you see what He has done? He brought man up to heaven, and angels who were once enemies now rejoice. This same Lord will soon bruise Satan under your feet. The enemy’s lies are shattered when we cling to the truth that nothing lies wholly in our own power, yet we are masters of our will by His drawing. Your husband can surrender, not by his own strength, but by acknowledging his need for divine help and casting every anxious thought at the feet of the One who redeemed him.

Do not let the lack of money become a root of bitterness. The multitude of believers once had one heart and one soul, lacking nothing because they trusted the Provider. Pray for peace at all times, in every way, peace toward God, toward your husband, and within your own soul. For if you are at peace with Him, external troubles lose their sting. The God of peace Himself will put an end to what makes havoc of tranquility, and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ will surround you both. So lift up your heads, for the Lord is near to those who call upon Him in truth.
