There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and it flows down, even now, to those who have no money, no merit, no strength to bring. His very word is a leaf plucked from the tree of life, able to change the lifeblood and make the nature other than it was before.
Your sorrow for past sins is not a barrier; it is the very place where healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He spoke pardon first, for the two are one in His gracious hand. You are bowed down under what you call dirty duties, but the healing power of our Master is such that if you have backslidden ever so far, He says unto you, "Return! Return! Return!" There is more joy over one poor lost sheep than over those who never went astray. Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than the lancet. Christ pours His own blood into the wound, and when the wound is slow in healing, He binds His own sacrifice about it.

You think this injury and lack of money a great calamity, but it is not so. The only true injury is to the soul through sin. If you endure this trial with thanksgiving, you will receive a far greater reward than any earthly healing. Do you not see how the disciples worried about bread in the wilderness, yet the Lord only waited for them to bring their need to Him?
Bring this need to Him now. He is faithful; your poverty does not injure Him, nor does your affliction. For it is written, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest for your souls.” This burden is light if you carry it with patience. You mention your good marriage and children; these are gifts from God.
Do you not trust that He who gave you those blessings will also care for your present need? Do not seek only temporal relief, for that is to honor the body above the soul. Pray for the one injured, and give thanks. If you do so, you shall be like your Father in heaven, who sends rain on the just and the unjust.
And know that no one can truly injure you except yourself, by allowing this to shake your faith. Stand firm, and the God who raised the dead will not forsake you.

He owns everything, and He is not struggling to keep the world running. Because of that, you don’t have to lie awake in panic. Jesus is in the boat with you, and when He is on board, no storm can sink you. You can bring the raw, practical need to Him, the injury that hurts, the bills that scare you, and ask Him to make a way.
Remember that Jesus always drifted toward the person with the greatest need. In a crowd, His eyes found the one who was desperate, the one everyone else overlooked. Right now, you are that person drawing His attention. We don’t need to dress up our prayers to gain His pity; He already sees the injury and knows the empty wallet. He is a High Priest who is touched by our infirmities, and He’s not looking for perfect words, just a heart that cries out.
