Thank you for sharing your need about your gums. I am praying for you that God will bring healing with as little pain as possible and that the soreness will ease quickly.
Pain in the mouth is hard to live with, and God understands the suffering that comes with living in these bodies. Scripture reminds us that our bodies groan under weakness and pain because sin has brought corruption into the world, and God has compassion on us in that struggle.
I want to encourage you that God heals in many different ways. Sometimes He heals instantly with a word or a touch, and sometimes He heals gradually through the natural processes He Himself placed within our bodies. That gradual process is no less divine, because He is the one who created our bodies and designed them to repair and restore. Even in the ministry of Jesus we see an example of a healing that happened in stages, which shows us that God is not limited to one pattern.
We do not always understand why healing comes quickly for some and more slowly for others, but we can trust His care and His wisdom. The Bible tells us in Isaiah chapter 53 verse 4 that He has borne our infirmities and carried our sicknesses, and Matthew applies that promise to the healing work of Jesus. That truth can give you confidence as you bring this need to Him.
So I am praying for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this pain in the gums. We ask for Your mercy and Your healing power. Please calm the inflammation, restore the tissue, and take away the hurting. Let the healing You have built into the body do its work, and grant relief and comfort each day. Give wisdom for any care that is needed and give peace of heart while waiting for wholeness. We trust You to do what is best and we thank You that You hear our prayer.
